I must say that I can't believe the amount of space devoted to these things in all the toy departments, especially TRU's huge walls of them. I always thought they seem to promote sexual behavior and revealing clothing to age groups that shouldn't even see this kinda stuff.
As far as the article goes, I think those against the toyline are presuming a bit much, but I have to agree with most of their points. The CEO for Bratz didn't help his case by saying he sees them as "fantasy" dolls either.

That is the biggest bunch of BS that I have read in a while.

I fully agree with the article and am surprised that more attention is brought to this...

I remember seeing a Bratz doll in a series called 'eye candy' and was really disappointed that this was being sold to girls...

Agreed, it is BS, and the CEO can't even come up with a decent excuse.

In FL, I have seen it happen, but its more popular in the 8 to 15 age range, which is still wrong, IMO.

Edit: Sorry, I meant very wrong.... IMO.

That right there is full of shit. From top to bottom of the bucket. And I agree with Shipwreck, they have FREAKY faces. Like they want to kill you in your nightmares. The only thing I see in Bratz are dolls for sex-addicts.

I don't care for the trampiness of these things either. None for my nieces (6 and 8) and none for my daughter (2).

If I had a daughter I definitely would not buy those for her.

    Far too trampy.

Hmm.. not sure what you mean there, but I changed my first post a little to:

The CEO for Bratz didn't help his case by saying he sees them as "fantasy" dolls either.

Does anyone else find it weird that the CEO has a "whole wall of them" in his office? I'll bet they're fantasy dolls....

I simply refuse to buy these for my niece.

To me they are just a bridge to Paris Hiltonism. As well as MTV's My Super Sweet 16.

When I see girls in my town dressed like that, I look around for their pimp.

I have always thought it was strange to sell dolls to kids that, to me, looked like underage sluts. Guess I wasn't the only one who thought this.

Those Bratz dolls are really weird looking, I don't know why any little girl would even want one in the first place...
