Is it just me....or did I wanted Brains shown smoking a Cy-gar(a Robot Cigar )....I just don't know. I just would love to see him on the cough...making smoke signals while Wheelie is breaking the forth wall.(I think his head was most likely all ready doing that...I just don't know...I forgot..sorrry !!) And mabye when he and Wheelie were trashing the ship..I would love to see him stuff a Cy-gar into a set of wires,causing a minor fire.

And I know his head was all ready smoking and stuff...But I really don't know why....I'm sorry.

I found it funny, because since he was a laptop, and laptops overheat, his "hair" was always smoking.

Is this an actual discussion? I wasn't aware of people making this case. It's an interesting one, for sure. It's curious to me that they went for the ballistics route for the movie verse. It introduces all the issues of ammunition logistics, whereas energy weapons can just come from magic batteries.

I wonder why they went that route.

 

Because Bay likes things messy and gritty. Energy weapons can be rather antiseptic.

 

He doesn't know that bullets and screws are made from different metals.

 

I hate the idea of lasers as physical weopons lol. Lasers are just focused beams of light, that can maybe make a burn if its intense enough.

 

This. And I mean, if I had to choose between three movies of shooting lasers at each other or a single BA shot of Optimus strolling up ejecting a shell casing in 3D, I'd choose the latter.   Although, lasers would be cool to see.

Laser-based/futuristic light weapons might be an interesting thing to explore in future films/reboots.

 

Lasers/energy weapons can come across as very cheesy rather easily.

But Brains never fires any weapons.

 

True....Which is a reason why the Twins were not in the film, but the novel and other adaptions....which is BS, but Bay knows people today are to picky w what is okay, I mean...most kids story's are w a evil person and a hero....and the hero pretty much wins in the end....I think Brains was created for Reno Wilson who voiced Mudflap being Bay still put it to the people who bitch at stuff to much...to me the Twins were cool and yes they were in ROTF a bit to much but they shoulda been in there few scenes and their like one line each at their Death after Ironhide dies....I hope its in the deleted scenes or we get a animatic or explanation for the commentary....I just know the Brains was in it for the reason to piss off those people....It still puzzles me how can robots be racist or have to be considered that way....they like Jazz, loved human hip-hop culture and downloaded it to their sparks etc.....and Skids my fav was a white guy voice actor who did the voice of Wheelie....so its cool Bay put Wilson w that guy again, because they worked well in ROTF......and I wish they woulda put Brains in a better version of Human Alliance Leadfoot instead of damn Steeljaw....and they coulda put Wheelie...being we prob won't get a toy or a set of both in one deluxe box price....I look at my HA Leadfooot and say why did I buy this, especially when I seen the custom one which was awesome...let me quit I can go on for awhile .....the writer in me...and the Wrecker toys upset me and only Topspin got a cool Deluxe fig, Roadbuster no weapons.at least the HA Road Buster I have is well worth it...
