The combiner idea that I've kept secret the last couple of months is out.

In case you're not faimilar with the Brainmasters, Road Caesar, or even the Japanese TV series Transformers Victory, I've thrown in a couple of links to give you an idea.

    Clip from Victory:
    YouTube - Road Caesar

    Toy:
    Road Caesar (1989) - Cybertron Three-Gun Gestalt Knight - www.tfu.info

Here's a rundown of the figures that will be used:

    Crossover Wolverine = Blacker (torso)
    Universe Prowl = Braver (leg)
    Universe Sunstreaker = Laster (leg)

Since there are only 3 members, as opposed to the traditional 5 or 6, Road Caesar will not (hopefully) be a partsformer combiner in the sense of Unicron legs and Primus arms. Crossover Wolverine's legs should be big and strong enough to support lower limbs.

Also, one of the cool themes regarding Road Caesar is that he's a robot knight, so the weapons will be swords and shields as opposed to guns and missiles.

    3/1/09:
Was messing around with my TFU Prowl (designate for Braver) and thought it would be cool to swap out his wheels for Armada Blurr's. It was a pain in the ass getting the pins hot enough to pop off the originals, but it was worth it. I like the design and I think it'll work for Braver.

If I manage to get this one right, Landcross may follow. The funny thing is I had planned on making LC first, but then I realized how heavily involved that project would be (6 robots that can also combine with each other a la Energon). But I did buy the figures I'd need.

RC just seems like the logical first step.

I want to do a bigger sized Landcross sooooo badly! But I want to make sure I can accomplish all the duo-bot combinations as well! That is one of my dream projects!

Yea, I want to reproduce the gimmick of the original toy. And that's why I had to put it aside until I had a solid plan.

Hmm. I would try to utilize Wolverine's legs as Road Caesar's arms. It may look disproportionate to have long legs and short-ish arms.

And use his arms as the legs? That's the only concern I'd have with that.

Unfortunately I don't have any of the three molds you are using to fiddle with. Can the two leg bots not be made long enough so you don't have to use Wolvie's arms?

I haven't messed around with that mold as much as I have the other 2 molds. So I'll have to get back to you on that.

So was Landcross your Victory combiner for this year. Or Liokaiser? Dinoking perhaps?

Landcross was not. He is going to be done though, and since we've been talking about it I've just figured out who to use! Hasbro did it for us Satomi, Energon Powerlinx! They can mix and match freely, top or bottom. We just need to figger out the Landcross combination!

I was gonna do Raiden! The train bots from Japanese Headmasters, sorry got my series' mixed up. So I guess for Victory it will be Landcross!

I had thought about using Powerlinx figures, but most of my molds are Classics/Cybertron. Then again, I'd love to see your take on it.

The Powerlinx style kinda fits that clean Anime look. I have a few Energon figures, so it wouldn't be a huge investment for me. I do believe I'll give it a go. It definitely wouldn't gel with the Classics line, but as a standalone representation it would be cool! I really am excited to see you try it in Classics, like you said. Your road is much more uphill than mine, but those Powerlinx figures of mine have just been asking for it!:thumbs2:

Good luck with the project dude! Im doing some Victory stuff this year too.

I was thinking of using Energon Beachcomber for Blacker, to gain some size.

I added a group photo. This is just a concept before it becomes a WIP. I'll be using G1 Snaptrap's head for Laster, RID Hightower's for Braver, and Alt Ricochet's for Blacker (fits the scale since he is a little bigger than the other two).
