Wake Up to Good News - Folgers
As an Eagle scout myself, it makes me glad to hear about this.
Finally, some news that isn't about stupid people! Smart kid.
OMG what's this world coming to? I lost all my faith in humanity, we need to be wiped out as a species!!!
*thunderous applause* Way to go kid.
Yay! News story that's not about a kid being stupid!
I kind of a little bit may have ... taken ..... the money....
Not to be a killjoy, but he was with his mom.
If I was a kid, I would've kept it. But in my old age *cough22cough*, I would've given it back.
stupid kid. could have bought a hooker
I didn't say thats all he could have spent the money on
Yeah, all you need is a baseball bat. It works like an unlimited coupon.
I'm so gonna buy you a baseball bat. I expect a youtube video.
And good for the kid.... I would have kept the money, even now.
Well if you're gonna go that route, you might as well get a bunch of chains and a soundproof basement.
The point is to avoid overspending. Really the only necessary item is the baseball bat.
Well I guess that proves that not all kids are dishonest and just plain stupid brats, kudos to the kid for returning the money (and kudos to his mother too).
But...$60 for a jersey? Talk about overspending.
Boy should have bought himself some plastic crack, or hookers n' blow, or a baseball bat. You can go far with just a baseball bat ya know.
Still, good to see the kid do somethin' good.
Last time I found a chunk of change was a pretty bullshit moment. Was at a paintball park on the way back from the course after the match, find a wad of cash on the ground, was a good chunk of change (several hundred bucks IIRC), walking back I'm talking to one of my friends and show him that I found money, some dude walks up and says "That's mine", pulls it out of my hands and walks away.
Yeah in retrospect I should have just held onto it concealed until I could either turn it in or keep it or whatever, but that just sucked.
Last year or the year before, hard to remember, we had to take our tax check to Walmart because of urgent need of funds (needed gas money to get to work the next morning...). While the lady was counting the money out my wife grabbed a stack and stuffed it in her wallet. First mistake of mine, letting her grab the money.
Couple days later she was shopping at walmart and left that wallet with 1,000$ in the shopping cart. After that she went to the movies to see some horror movie and when she got home later she couldn't find her wallet. She called back to Walmart but nobody could find it. I was so mad I went to bed so I wouldn't get arrested for murder.
At 1030 my wife starts screaming for me to get up because someone was pounding on the door. I get up and some teenaged kids had found her wallet and brought it back to the house. She ended up giving them 100$ and thanking them for saving her life.
The irony here is that the purse was initially stolen and only $30 was taken before whoever stole it threw it away. Meanwhile the kid who found it got $100 for returning it. That's some good stuff right there.
