1. I just believe in physics- you know, reacting with an equal and opposite force- and the magnitude of the kid's cheap shot deserved it. 2. There are bad bus drivers out there and i know of a few. i know of one who has driven the same route for 24 years and still can't tell you the names of the kids on her bus. My mother assigns seats, she sends forms to the parents (emergency contacts, things like that) and even involves 2-5 of the older kids with the route. These kids she shows the basics of the bus in case there is an accident or she is incapacitated; or when there is a substitute, they can help the sub with the route without pressure. it is a job, but the way she treats it makes a difference. and back when i rode school buses, our drivers carried a 3 1/2 foot wood paddle they hung behind the mirror, and they were allowed to paddle kids. Then they sent the kid and a discipline sheet to the principal. so things have changed. and maybe i am biased (for my mom's safety, yeah) but they have changed for the worse, it seems. 3. What buses do you ride? it isn't like a bank teller's window with plexiglass. It is a standard school bus. There's only 3 things protecting a driver on that bus: a set of cameras recording everything a radio to contact dispatch and the bus driver. 2 of those things won't save the driver or the kids in time if one of these passengers goes nuts.
Ditto big brother. And then thinking they got it "mixed up" they tried to blame it on me! Ya I look like my big brother(sarcasm). I remember what my mom told me about the conversation. My Mom: "well it might be my other son Ian" Transportation lady: "Ya! It's your other son!!!!" Are you even kidding? I mean my bus driver hits the curb EVERY freaking morning. While it does wake my up before we get there. The thousand of times i've slammed my head into the window half asleep ain't worth it. Plus TWO kids have smoked on our bus. One got caught cause he was trying to get kicked off. The other got away with it. But that's my opinion. I'm not siding with the kid that is just plain wrong. I think he should be locked up. MY OPINION.
I remember when I was a kid in my early teens, I used to ride in one of those van size school bus. Anyway, one morning the driver stopped the bus and ordered a kid to come up to the front row seat and sit. At first she was being nice to him about it. But then she started to get angry and she ordered him to come up to the front seat and sit. Well he still refused. So she shifted the gear in drive and floored the gas pedal and boy she was pissed. Well about 10 mins later, I guess he felt bad about it and he walked up to her while she was driving. She stopped the bus and she grabbed him and shaking him violently and shouted at him to get away from her. I was shocked. That is what I meant when I said earlier that school bus drivers wasn't afraid of any kid back then. But I don't think she would be allowed to do something like that today. She would be fired today and the parents might sue the County.
I don't care what sorta 'mental' problems that kid has, he and his family need euthanasia STAT. That's what people like to do with dogs that attack for no reason, evidently their entire gene pool is foul. What kind of spaz hits an old lady? A castrated one, I hope
The one strategy that usually works for bus drivers was saying- (for example) kid- *throws stuff out window* Bus driver- *Slams brakes* " Ok, now thanks to kickback Im taking you ALL back to school" Kids on bus "aw man you suck kickback, Boo"
