It is basically the same color as the botcon one. In my artificially lit room you can't tell the difference. With sunlight blaring through the window, whichever gets the most flash looks the lighter color. Henkei is just the slightest bit lighter, but the difference is negligible. I give the paintjob win to Henkei, overall Botcon owns him, because henkei can't keep his cannons in his arms. I'll take better and plane mode pics later, my wife is hounding me to go to lunch.

You know... I actually like the Botcon one better. I think there's too much silver on the Henkei one and I don't care for the chromed launchers. Minor grips I know, but if I didn't already have the Botcon one I'd probably by the Henkei one even though I like it less simply given the price difference.

nice comparison..i have the henkei one, and i love the chromed launchers, although they dont stick into his shoulders...very sad...but other than that, its a superb figure...

and obviously, anyone who was lucky enough to get the botcon TC, theyre gonna love it more than the henkei version purely coz of its rarity and value and..well, each one will have their own reasons, but thats to be expected..the henkei is probably as good a figure, imo, although i dont own both
EDIT: btw, how did u manage to fit the launchers into henkei TC's shoulders? did u manage to pose him and keep them from falling just til u took the pic? i managed to do that too, but they just fell off as i moved him..just wondering if u managed a fix

I just angled his arms so they stayed for the pics. I just took a plastic bag and cut out a small circle out and stuffed them in there with the peg, they hold now. If the Henkei one wasn't as worn out it would be my favorite, I like the consistency of the Hemkei seeker paintjobs.

someone suggested cutting a thin strip of tape n sticking it around the edge of the hole..
sounds a bit fiddly but i'll give it a try..thats all that needs to be done to make this figure perfect, imo

Through my gritted teeth, I repeat again: Tighten the screws on the upper arms and the guns will stay in place just fine. :banghead:

In any case, Thanks for the comparison pictures! I don't see too much of a difference between the two -- I'll be just as happy with my Henkei TC when it arrives as I would be with the Botcon version...

Awesome! Thanks for the comparison pics.

I'm not such a compleationist that I would need the Japaneese version, but it's nice to see the differences between the two. Did anybody ever get a definative answer on how limited the run on the Henkei versions of Thundercracker and Skywarp were going to be?

    NO THEY WON'T.
The screws on mine WERE fully tightened; that was the first thing I checked.

Agreed. I tried tightening the screws on my TC's arms, and all it did was make it harder to move the arms. The arm holes are just too big. Even Starscream's launchers just fall off TC's arms.

So will this issue with the Henkei TC going to be resolved by Takara? Thats just alot of money for a faulty Transformer. It seems more often than not that if you get a Henkei TC it will have these issues. I have thought about getting one so I can put my Botcon one in his box but after hearing this problem I am not.

I doubt Takara will do anything about it d00d; it's a limited run, and I expect they've all already been manufactured. However the fixes are all dead easy, and well documented on these boards.

best thing to do is coat the peg holes with Future floor finish.

Clear nail polish works also. Do they fit snug in the wings?
