And now I officially give NO credit to rants about this year's exclusives OR Fun Publications Inc's prices

The general fandom goes ape*bleep* over paying $279-300 YET ending bids on Ebay go for more then TWICE as much

    Whatever :rolleyes2

Read the entire auction, it includes all the attendee only souvenirs as well.

This is why I bailed out of the classics line. I'm a completist and will not pay that much to complete my set with the Botcon exclusives. However, I may give my bank account a swift kick in the jimmy to get Alpha Trion. He is friggin sweet!

    I did :)

I just can't picture the entire cost being anywhere near what the auction end price was.

If I'm wrong...then I'm wrong and I'll own up to it. But I guess untill 06-28-07. We won't know how much and how many at show exclusives there will be :D

FP has followed a pretty standard pattern so far, so it's fair to expect something similar this year.

The base package is $275. The 2 pairs of toys they sell at the show were around $165 last year - So let's assume $175 covers them this year...

So the total cost of that package is approx $450.

BTW, although I would expect this to include the box set, there's a chance that he's going to deliver the "baggie" set. He doesn't explicitly say. Anyway, if so, his cost drops by about $100...

If you have the extra people going who don't want the toys, frankly, I think that's a great way to cover your travel costs!

    Yes it is. [/Monty Python]

$815 for ALL the Botcon toys vs. $730 for box set + freebie. The $730 buyer got hosed by comparison.

Wait, I misread the post - I thought he was saying that the second one was the better deal (That should be obvious from my commentary.)

As I said, that deal kinda sucks.

well, i'm keeping my freebie, and any autobot at con- exclusives you have to buy, but i'm selling my boxed set. as long as i get the cost of the pre-registraton, i'll be happy. but if i can get a price like that, well, bonus, but i'm not expecting anything like that for just the box set.

Heck, I'd probably give you the full price of the set at my table, but if I did, I'd probably be ripping you off!

You should have no problem turning a little profit if/when you re-sell that set.

My prediction remains that once the prices settle, when broken up, the value of the 3 seekers will exceed $100 per.

I'm actually kinda hoping that the three seekers are this year's Ratchet/Megatron and I can sneak off with the less desirable by comparison attendee stuff without having to shill out the crazy prices those two go for. Saw a Ratchet go for over $400 all by himself the other day. Jeebus. I got mine at BC '05 thankfully...I've pretty much resigned to never getting Megs. :(

Do the attendee-only souvenir figures have a one-per-attendee limit? I'd like two of each for display purposes.

Hmmm. I wonder how many people will actually be parting with this year's Attendee Bonus figure. It's larger than usual, and it's a toy that a lot of people seem to have expressed a desire to see done.

Since last year it's a "1 per package holder" type deal Foster. So unless you find another package holder (Like me for example) to get one for you. You're pretty much SOL on getting 2....unless you luck out and someone trades at a dealer table for credit
