Ever since the awesome 2007 Botcon set I have been hoping for a Stunticons set to finish off my favorite gestalt team. We already have Dragstrip and Wildrider released so all we now need is Motormaster (you could even use Nemesis and say we need two), Dead End, and Brakedown. I honestly think it would sell REALLY well. Anyway if they created this set would you be interested in it and who would you use for the molds? Here are my picks:

Motormaster-easy and obviously Classics Prime mold with new head.

Brakedown-I am thinking Sideswipe tentatively. Maybe another suggestion?

Dead End- Prowl's mold could work with another remolded head.

Wildrider-yeah I own him and I think the Hot Rod mold works fine but if you have other suggestions let us know.

So would you go for that set? Who would you use for the molds?

Only if they resembled the Stunticons AND had a combined mode.

IMO Hasbro should just make a new mould.

Do you mean because they are popular characters (like the Seekers for 2007) or because of the picks?

Because they're popular. The mold choices were what I would pick, but their popularity would probably cause issues.

It would be better than this year's set, that's for sure. As much as I like the Stunticons, I don't know if I would spend the money though.

I'm getting tired of owning the same molds over and over again. I'll wait for some new ones in 2010.

I guess it all depended on whether Hasbro had any plans on issuing them or not though I can't see why not. They would be perfect for Universe. Of course this was the big issue with Thundercracker and the Coneheads back in 2007 too.

FP could make a sweet Universe Combiner of the Stunticons. Hasbro has no idea how to create combiners anymore. Especially updated G1 Combiners. They are Clueless.

I like your picks. They did use Mirage for Dragstrip. He was up on hasbrotoyshop.com (not sure if he still is or not).

    I'd prefer Combaticons over Stunticons.

i just could not see FP being into this as dragstrip and wildrider have been remade already...granted one as a henkei and other as a special edition....

just do not see it happening...i would rather see the combaticons or protectobots issued before the stunticons as a FP set...

I've wanted the Stunticons for awhile... twas disappointing when the silohettes of Prime, Crosswise, and Hot Shot turned out to be Prime, Jazz, and Goldbug.

I definitely think it would sell well, but would be a fan-rage-inducing issue like the seekers, however besides that I don't think Hasbro would let FP make them. While Hasbro did not intend to go forward with more Classics/Universe thus FP got to make the seekers, now I think Hasbro would want to make the Stunticons themselves. They've already done one. There's also the issue of FP not wanting to re-use molds they've already used once.

Though in fantasy-land Motormaster from Classics Prime would be quite sweet. Though in further fantasy-land, I could see a way to make a pseudo-gestalt. Use Cybertron Metroplex's "work"/short robot mode as Motormaster robot's mode. Menasor would then be made by transforming him to the tall mode. The Stunti-limbs could be attached to Metroplex/Menasor with some new mold attachments that peg onto Metro's minicon pegs on his arms/legs and attach underneath the cars to spots like the fist holes under Sideswipe/Sunstreaker.

As more exclusives or SE's maybe, as Botcon, no.

I think botcon should keep with the obscure stuff. Its not fair on the masses to do core characters.

The best set I think would be a Diaclone set of Uni rpaints, Black Sideswipe etc.

Just for the record I completely agree Hasbro should make the Stunticons for a wide release but this hypothetical situation is just based off if it was used.

After seeing so many grown men have a nervous break down over a couple of toys, i wouldn't be in favor of FP using Classic molds for anything but the most obscure characters.
