I still don't get the low-down on the souvenirs. Can anyone purchase these, including general admission? If so, cost?

    Regarding these:

    Megatron/Rodimus/Divebomb - $116 (around there)
    Sideswipe/Blurr/Rampage - $78

Regarding who can get them, here's a quote from Botcon.com regarding that matter:

    Hope it helps.

    Ebay:
Expect ebay prices for the megatron/rodimus pack to be between 300 and 400, at least for the next week or so.

Botcon, the national holiday for scalpers.

The 2006 Megatron started around $500 & stayed there. This one is 100 times better looking. Good luck!!! You're gonna need it!

Well, I just had to complete my 2008 Botcon set. I had to go for the Iacon set so have had to get them off ebay. Just paid $600 to get both sets of souvenirs and Ricochet. I am officailly not buying any more transformers for a couple of months at the least. And that is with Animated about to be released. I hope Masterpiece Grimlock doesn't see a release anytime soon. Wouldn't mind seeing prototypes from Botcon though.

I think I'm in the minority on this, but I don't care for this year's set at all. Maybe they look better in person, but not a single one of them is really tempting to me.

The only one I really like is the evil Rodimus. Im still on the fence about Megatron. But, I have to admit that the toys' bios are pretty interesting to say the least.

Uh, can anyone tell me why Sideswipe is colored the way he is? And while I'm at it, any answers on Megatron? I understand Starscream, Goldbug, Jazz... but these guys I just don't get.

Rodimus is the only one that makes me think he is evil. I don't see heroism in that Megatron, nor do I see evil in Blurr or Sideswipe. I just don't get it. Transformers is well over 20 years old, and so it may be that that premise is so ingrained in folks' heads like mine, that the idea of heroic Decepticons and evil Autobots is, like the fake comic, laughable. I was going to give the exclusives a chance had they all been like Prime, which actually looks good (battle damage done right for a change) looks evil. Jazz certainly doesn't, and Starscream simply looks like a Jetfire-colored GF Starscream (he evil still has the grimmace on his face). While I love BotCon and sorely wish I could go, it all came down to the exclusives and whether or not they would be worth the money. I just don't think they are. I'm betting the comic will actually be pretty good, and after reading it, maybe I'll like them a bit more, but for now, I am really happy that I did not take a gamble and buy these guys.

PS. Speaking of laughable, by my count there are eight evil Autobots and only two heroic Decepticons, plus two Mini-Cons. The Decepticons don't stand a chance! So I guess in one way at least, this concept isn't so far-fetched afterall. :)

Sidwswipe's color scheme is based on a cancelled Universe toy which would have featured the Armada Wheeljack mold in Generation 2 Drench's colors. So that's where the idea for this Swipe comes from. Not too pretty, in my opinion.

What kind of answers are you looking for on Megatron and the others?

Well... I see Starscream done up to resemble Jetfire in keeping with the 'heroic Decepticon' theme they have going on here... and I just don't understand why Megs is colored the way he is. There's gotta be a reason, right? I mean, it looks sorta God-Mangus-y to me. I dunno. Plz hulp kthnxbai
