This is sort of but not really a Botcon related thing.

I'm sticking about a couple of days after the con to see a few sights, mostly in NY, and hopefully catch a July 4th parade.

Does anyone know enough about the transport up there to recommend the best Providence - NY connections etc? Are there weekly passes for the subway available, and how much would they cost, what would they cover, etc.

    Any advice appreciated.

PS would a weekly pass also cover going to Boston, since I've noticed the train also goes that way. Might do a little shopping out there, I hear it is a little cheaper up there.

If you're in Boston, you can take the Chinatown bus from Boston to NYC for cheap. I think it's around $20 roundtrip. I take the philly-nyc bus all the time. $20 round trip. The problem is that they drop you off right in Chinatown nyc. So if you're not from the area, you're going to get super lost.
