Thats wierd. Did they say why $239.00 on Sunday night? In my confirmation email it says $129.00 for each night.
She said they where over booked for that night and couldn't do the Boccon rate. So what ever that means.
Thankfully since (prospectively) I'm booking both the flight and hotel together. That won't be a problem as I just pay a 1 time fee of $XXXX dollars and the room's taken care of
I'm SOOO tempted to call just to get my name in the system. But I really want to see official on-site confirmation. Besides, I'm booking a different way and I don't know if the 2 differing ways would conflict. I know it doesn’t sound right to me either. At first I thought well maybe once the con is actually over Sunday, Sunday night doesn’t count but I guess that’s not the case for people that called before me and she said “overbooked”. So either that’s what’s up or she f-ed up and is over charging me that night.
Bad News Guys!!! I just called The Westin and unfortunately the Convention Rate is all booked up. Although you can book under the standard $259.00 rate I have no clue what that means but that's what I was told when I called the 1-800number I'm so sorry guys So I guess if you haven't booked yet but want to stay at the Westin, you better make sure you have a few roommates lined up
Yeah we go through this dance every year. It is most likely not actually booked up, doubt it is even close...just wait to hear more from the official source.
I'm sure that is true but, most of the after hour events that are part of botcon are held at the con hotel. I know last year there was the gaming night, the hotel bar, and parts partys going on every night.

That Sunday night startes the Hoilday peak week. well that what I was told when I asked well I could only get the go When I e-mail Brain back in November about what he was trying to get the con rate at he told me that F.P. was trying to get it at the 129.00 like last year, but with it being the weekend before the 4th of July The problem was the hotel did not want to get that rate so close to a major Hoilday. But The way things were looking was that the hotel was only going to give up 25% of the total rooms in the hotel for the con rate. Once that 25% has been meet it up to the hotel if they want to keep giving that rate out. I just called a little bite ago and change my rate from the government rate of 144.00 a night down to 129.00 from 27June to 1 July. If we stay til monday the 2nd I will pay 144.00 a night vernment rate of 144.00 for sunday night P.S I'm not 100% sure if we are going to stay til Monday night all up in the air as my leaving day will depend on if another local collector ride with me, and or if I nephews are coming up with me or if my brother is going to bring them. I was at last years show, Mainly spend most of my time at my booth. I was wondering is there any events for the younger age groups?

We'll I'm able to go, but I can't afford $259.00 a night, unless someone is looking for a roommate or they release more rooms. Will there be a thread of people looking for room mates? I'm hoping this will be my first botcon, but I'm only willing to pay so much to go.
