Did you do this online? by calling the hotel?

    What is the promo code?

Is the price 129.00 a night even if there are 4 people in the room?

WOW. That is a HUGE discount. Like, half the price. I'm reserving as soon as my dad gets home.

    Apologies.

I made reservation by phone. All you need to do is mention Transformers/Botcon.

The person taking the call will ask you if you are with a group/convention.

Be prepared, there is an additional $25 charge for each person more than 2 in a room. So right now, I have a reservation at the $129 price with 2 people in the room.

It's quite affordable actually. That's about the going rate if you stay at a mid-range place like Fairfield Inn or Hampton Inn off season (hotel rates can vary a lot depending on demand). At a nice place like the Westin, you're getting the room at about 50% off using that rate (their rooms are in the $250 a night range normally).

Keep in mind that most people who got to Botcon split a room 2, 3, or 4 ways with others, which makes it a lot more affordable. Also keep in mind that you don't HAVE to stay at the Westin. I'm sure there are cheaper alternatives within a drivable radius if you want to go cheap.

Humph! They want me to get 2 rooms, becuase with my kids, there'd be more than 4 people in a room. I'm not renting 2 rooms for my 4 year old. That is one heck of a rate, though. Most of the roach box motels in the area are that much.

I don't drive. Nor do I have anyone to share a room with.

That's better, but I think I may see if there's a Motel 6 nearby or something. More money for shopping and stuff.

Excellent news, which means the BotCon site should be updated soon :)

Even better is that IIRC '05 as well as '06 had that same $129.00 per night price discount. That's a nice pattern I won't complain about :D

For the people that already called, I’m assuming they took a credit card number right away but did they charge you anything?

To my recollection no, they'll usually wait for you to pay at the end of your stay. But I think some might, that's something to ask the receptionist/front desk agent when you call

Sorry Deefuzz, I replied without reading all the posts. Had no clue you said that already. Either way, in case someone misses your post they might see mine. So at least the info gets out there :D
