Ummm, you picked a pretty bad day to use twitter as a tool to communicate to us when registration opens. It's been flakey all day.

Yup. Won't let me follow. Isn't showing any of my lists, followers or who I'm following either.

  Botcon's been on Twitter for well over a month at least. The amount of negativity towards the FP & Botcon is getting ridiculous...

Yup. No-one is being negative about FP, just about Twitter running so badly on the day Pete posted this thread.

So, will it be announced via Twitter before the e-mail goes out to the club members?

I'd say it'll be at the same time. Both prepared, just needing a click to send.

Unless existing members get first shot like last year.

Apologies for the misunderstanding. The last thread (about the Dion Delay and Reg being this week) got kinda out of hand in my opinion.

Ugh.. Twitter. I'd only seen one reason so far to have any involvement with Twitter, and that reason would be Conan O'Brien. Now it seems... I may have two reasons.

Something about volunteering to select "Be a follower!" followed up by a constant stream of mundane crap makes me want to slap people. I'd hoped that such an online tool would help dilute the world's sick fascination with celebrities by making many more "micro-celebrities" but it appears to have only made things worse. I categorize my interest in Co-Co as an interest in humor to avoid putting myself in the line of fire of my own criticism and within my own mind that seems to have worked so far. Adding Botcon and further delving into Twitter use can be excused with "But I need to know when registration opens!". That should work nicely. Yes. Excuse is go!

This rant shall continue... in the future. The future Conan?

No prob man. Twitter seems to be back to normal now; they had to patch a bug that would let people force others to follow them. A lot of celebrities were hit with it and suddenly found themselves following God only knows how many new people.

So there is an "online service fee" for registration using the new system? I must have missed that announcement in the brochure.
