If they did Pretenders, it should be his human head but given they probably won't, then robot. It'd be really strange to have a human head otherwise.

Anyways, I just looked up Metalhawk on tfwiki and got a good look at both heads, and I've got to go with the robot one.

 

I can think of very few scenarios that will result in me owning a Botcon Metalhawk, so it doesn't matter to me.  

 

Pretty interesting breakdown so far!

They allready &^%$ed up Overlord..... I don't want them to also *&^% up Metalhawk!!!

Have there ever been 6 figures in a box set? What if they make him a GI Joe?

 

I voted for robot head. God, i hope its not a human head......we really don't need to start seeing that on figures.

 

I really dislike the human element of Pretenders.

 

^but...but.. they are robotic versions of the 'Clark Kent' @ Superman archetype!!  

 

Given how this toy will almost assuredly just be his robot form, I'd only expect his robot head.

 

Robot head for me as well... but I wouldn't mind if the design borrowed a bit from the Pretender's look, specifically in terms of that big central fin-crest thing. Metalhawk's robot head is a little on the generic side, and having that head-fin might make him a bit more unique while also retaining elements of the Pretender shell.

However, given that the two likeliest mold candidates for Metalhawk are probably Thunderwing and Cyclonus, neither of those mold would accommodate a forehead crest in the transformation. Scourge would, if they went with that one. Hm.

But yeah, overall, I'd say robot head.

 

They should have room for the longer anime-style antennae if they use the Sky Shadow chest piece. I don't think Thunderwing's chestplate has the grooves cut out for the antennae.

Unless they use the human head to pack it, and the robot head is packed in with the missiles maybe.

This is all under the assumption that it's the Thunderwing mold anyway.  

 

I was looking at my collection recently and pondering this. I like the robot face with human helmet compromise. Also, while I can see Mindwipe working (hate his weapons though), I think the way do really nail it might be a new head AND chest on Thunderwing!  

 

Both but with 6 figures in the set a second head might be too much to hope for. I am not interested in the set but one would think that if the metal hawk figure only has a single head that a 3rd party company might produce the other.

At this rate, one head will be free and the other will be available with Soundwave's yellow headband. It's like Crazy Devy's doing their pricing this year.
