What. Absolute. Crap. I hate that mold, and never would have thought of a Kup for that. I was very unhappy with the whole set announcement to begin with, and now I am just depressed. I guess 3 years of great toys are a pretty good run for FP. Oh well here's to next year. Why do I get the feeling this one is going to be even less popular than 2005's set? My guess is they were given crap molds to work with and had to do the best they could, but I agree with the guy who said it looked like a bad custom job. Sorry FP I wanted to love this set I really did, especially after the awesome job you have done in the past, but this is just epic fail.
I think a re-paint of the Cybertron deluxe Unicron would look kind of nice for Scourge. Not so sure about sideways (he made a great Ratbat, but still...). If they nail Scourge, I'll buy. If they screw him up, I'll have a hard time spending the $300.
Hmm... not bad... Good mold, ok head sculpt and colors... and yet I'm not super excited. Just not a big enough Kup fan for it to thrill me I guess, and that body's a bit too heafty of build to really scream Kup to me, even "young Kup." I wouldn't turn it down if I were going to the Con, but neither am I upset at missing it since I'm not. -Scourge is the one I'm interested in, can anyone else think of a mold hanging around that would fit the bill, if they can beat Titanium Scourge then we'll talk.
That actually looks pretty good. The headsculpt could use a little work, but it does look nice. I won't be getting this years set, but it is tempting.
I'm going to BotCon and will buy the set because I always do but it doesn't look like it will be a favorite of mine. I guess if I had to rank them it would be: 2007 2006 and 2008 (tie) 2005 I suspect 2009 will tie with 2005 or maybe beat it out. I was hoping all the alt-modes would be Cybertronian style vehicles to fit with the story set in ancient times but Kup is okay I guess.
The head is overly simple, and that mold is kind of clunky. Overly bright, and the black feet make him look like he has little shoes. Not too thrilled here.
Neat. Not amazing, but not horrible either. He is bright! Not crazy about the face, he looks a bit frightened. He's in the Elite Guard?
Not terribly excited about this one in particular but seeing what else they have in store thats a whole other story.
Hmmm. . .if I remember correct, the back of this mold is just the pop-out guns and clunky cyberkey. Does anybody know how this mold'll look if you remove the back and how stable it'd be?
I hadn't noticed the head sticking out like that. The vehicle mode is were all the problems are for me. Well almost Kup has never in my mind been stocky. I dont care how young or old he is that looks wrong. If Andrew Wildman hadnt accidentally leaked Skyquake my initial excitement would be taking a pounding right now.
