EDIT: Updated needs list.

I am starting this thread in the hopes that Transformers fans can team up to complete their sets of IDW cards from BotCon. Reportedly there were a total of 16 cards distributed throughout the convention. It was very difficult to collect them all, unless you could visit the IDW table on a regular basis. Use this thread to post your wants and extras you have for trade.

I need 14 and 15, Astrotrain and Starscream.

I have these extras for sale or trade: Thundercracker (3), Wheeljack (5), Prowl (8), Bumblebee (9), Ironhide (11), and Skywarp (12).

 

I need # 14. I do not know which it was, but I do believe I have a ratchet and sunstreaker for trade.

Could we maybe get this thread stickied? I know a lot of people would like to complete their sets.

 

Evebird, could you also make a list in your post of all the numbers and their picture?

DP, I'll buy your extra Prime if you don't end up trading it.  

I have only one Astrotrain, and it's non-glossy. Are there two versions of certain cards? All the other characters I have seen have the glossy finish.

 

The only time I dropped by IDW's booth was to snag the sketch cover of Spotlight #2...I never even knew about these cards! I'm a junkie card collector...any chance I could buy any extras off you guys?

To whomever has extras, PM me w/ your asking prices...I'd really like to add a few to my current TF card collection!

 

I think cards 14, 15, and 16 are all non-glossy (although one side of prime is glossy while neither side is on starscream).

I'll keep you in mind evebird if I can't use it to trade for an astrotrain.

 

A lot of people never saw these cards. The IDW staff set them out sporadically and they went quick. Unfortunately, some people hoarded them. I only took about 20 cards total--a partial set and a couple of extras to trade.

They're printed on very sturdy cardstock. And they're bigger than "normal" trading cards, approx. 4 x 6 inches in size.

 

flywheels, let me know what you'd give for those 5 I have... I'll sell 'em!

 

Depending on the response to this thread, maybe you and I should swap, Astrotrain for Prime. Then you can at least complete your set. I'll still need two cards, but I'll be picking up one of the main characters.

I spoke to the IDW guys after I completed my set. They let me in on it since I was "cool enough" to put all my extras back on the table once I completed my set. They said that the ones that are not glossy are the ones that they made less of, and that there are not glossy versions of those cards. Also, these are postcard size. The whole set is very cool when you piece them together if you haven't seen it yet.

So, it sounds like Astrotrain, Starscream, and Optimus Prime are the rarest of the set.

 

I stoped by the IDW table reguarily and I never saw cards 13, 14, 15, or 16 till the Sunday when one of the guys dropped the last bundle on the tables.

I luckily got all 16 cards in the end, and kept putting back the duplicates I'd got.
