This afternoon I received my box set, comic, and pin for being one of the first 100 registrants via FedEx. I would imagine everyone who ordered will see those arriving within the coming week or so. Perfectly timed, as the attendee exclusives I've picked up off eBay all arrived late last week.

I'm impressed with the turnaround time - last year I seem to remember it being around four weeks after the con before it arrived. Bravo to FP and to the team involved with the designs. These are really special.

The comic came in a manila folder, held in place on the exterior of the boxset by securely-fastened bubble wrap. It was all fairly well-packed; the shipping box was about three times larger than it needed to be.

Getting nitpicky, the boxset was placed at the bottom of the shipping box and all of the paper packing was on top of it. There was no packing cushion below except the aforementioned single layer of bubble wrap. Had there been any damage to the bottom of the shipping box, the boxset would have been damaged as well. Fortunately, that was not the case.

As a club member, the boxset was $250, if I remember correctly. It's picking up the attendee-only pieces on eBay that really kills you, though.:(

That's correct - if you were one of the first 100 registrants, you got the golden disk pin. It's a fairly accurate representation of the golden disk, about one inch in diameter with a clasp in the back.

Nothing to write home about, but cool I guess.

So is there an instruction sheet for these things or do I have to guess once I finally get around to taking them out of this sweet, sweet @$$ packaging?

The instructions sheets are packed flat beneath the black foam (along with the bio cards) in a sealed platic bag. It's very nicely done.

I slit the top of the bag and filed away the instructions/bios for Megatron, Waspy, Tigatron, Buzzsaw and Laserbeak as well. It's a nice change to be able to store them all flat.

Got mine yesterday and I love it. The pasking was as ams had described, box three times the size it need to be with nothing under the boxed set except a layer of bubble wrap. Thankfully mine cam in good condition so I am not complaining. The set itself is beautiful.

My 4 year old girl wanted to play with Rattrap and Cheetor so I had to give her Ransack and Clocker to play with. Hell I'm just thrilled she wants to play with Transformers. :)

I don't know. These botcon figures are a little cheap if you ask me. They all consist recycled "Cybertron" figures with Beast Wars heads and new paint jobs. Is it just me really?

I'm not sure what you're expecting from BotCon exclusives, which have always been (and will always be) repaints with small remolding on some figures.

Just a heads up: Probably not a good idea to try to keep this set minty in package. That black foam has a tendency to turn into an ickymessyhorrible black tar-like substance after 5 to 15 years of storage or so. If the toys were still in there after that happened, they would be an utter loss.
