I really dont think that mold works for Scourge at all, I really dont like that head on that body.

 

I may be in the minority here, but I LOVE this. Really, really love it, more that I thought I would. I like the "knight" (or maybe "old king") vibe he gives off. He looks like a Crusader. This sounds silly to say about a small plastic toy, but he exudes dignity.

I also really like the color scheme, and am glad it isn't a straight-up port of G1 Scourge. I'm surprised how well the alien body-style fits with the very human face.

I'm now officially giddy about this set.

with Kup (using Cybertron Red Alert), some Energon Starscream repaints, and this Sideway mold...) these Elite Guard theme... just O M Goodness...

 

I'm sorry but I see a lot of people saying this, and I have to ask: How would paying homage to the thing that is pre-Transformers be a way to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the franchise?

You don't celebrate someone's birthday by lavishing attention on their parents.

I mean, that's cool if it's what you're into, but I am way more interested in this set than I would be in a set of Diaclone homages.

 

Wow....that's odd. I have to say it's very strking, and I like it alot more than the Ratbat we got, but not as much as Noise Maze.

I want that head and the Kup head from this set. You can all have the rest.

And I'm nth-ing the "should have been Hellbat" sentiment. I think the head would look better with some touchups and detailing, though.

He is missing the cape. If you attach the wings to scourge's back instead of his legs like in the pictures you have a much more pleasing g1 homage in robot mode. I think the vehicle mode will look good next to cyclonus

 

It looks pretty cool, but I just can't get over the fact that his red circle isn't on a stick. Still....

Looking good, the colors are sharp on that mold. Something tells me when I see the whole set together it won't look so good.

 

Now I need to bring a date.
