    When are the exclusive typically released at botcon? Will we know em as soon as the con is open or do they go up for sale later?

    Wanna know when to start checking ebay :p

    I'm in the same boat as you. SG Galvatron and Classics figures for me!

    For what it's worth: someone on the boards had done an interesting study, which compared the aftermarket prices of Botcon exclusives versus time after Botcon. I believe the conclusion was that ebay prices start high and hit a steady state approximately 10 days after Botcon ends.

    Does anyone remember this?

    It'll be interesting to see the secondary market prices on this years set. Animated seems to be pretty popular, so you might see some crazy high prices. Unlike last years set...

    THIS! I was going to say most people want to know so they know when to start crying. The guy who did that report even had charts if I remember right. It wasn't that long ago that he did that but the moral of his story was to wait.

    But don't wait too long, I bought an SG Grimlock for $75 shipped right after Botcon 2008, the price dropped down to $50 not long after, but this year I sold it for roughly $125. There's a dip, definitely, but eventually these toys become more rare in the after-market, and prices will start to pick up.
