Awesome. I love this mold.
There goes people's hopes for getting the Breakdown head for G1 in the customizing class...
The ONLY Pure G2 toy this year and it's the customization class toy! I love that
So the only way to get this is to be in the custom class. If that's the case that's a bunch a bs. I sook want that figure
It's... a customizing class. They're painting it black themselves. There's nothing stopping you from doing that on your own.
Added a direct link to the image.
Although it does look like there are some differently-molded plastic colors on there.... red waist and hands, green transparent bit, etc.... is that a first for Botcon, customs-class-exclusive recolors?
That's a relief for me! I was really worried he might end up being a future Botcon exclusive - one that I would really miss out on.
But since he looks to be a custom, I'll probably be getting the upcoming Generations Red Alert as custom fodder for G2 Sideswipe
I like it!
Yeah, I noticed that afterward (I don't think the picture was posted when I made my comment). I have no idea if it's a first, but the translucent green bits would definitely make a difference for any attempted custom.
Well, the Classics Grimlock Overkill redeco was a custom class figure a few years before he popped up as that exclusive. So maybe there's a possible second-life chance for G2 Sideswipe. At least, I hope so. He's one of my favorite G2 toys.
Never know, it could be released at retail. Massively unlikely though.
That's pretty cool
Extra points from me if you guys give him spikes like the g2 comic
HeyreTHey're not painting it black. It's the first true exclusive for a custom class. Molded in black, red, green windows... It is hot in person. It's kinda like the first north American lucky draw
Well, the red, white, and green plastic is obviously molded, but the black in that picture looks heavily painted on. Besides, if it was molded in every color, then there wouldn't be much to customize, would there? Kinda defeat the purpose of the class?
I'm pretty sure the customizing class toy is molded in the right colors. That things got black plastic. Only thing gonna be painted by hand are the aps. Don't they pretty much just do paint aps and assemble in those classes?
As said before, 2 other customizing toys saw wider releases. Overkill from '07 was released in the special edition packaging, and SG Nightbeat was pretty much the Club Nightbeat with a black hood.
Like Overkill, here's hoping it becomes an actual release in the future. I was REALLY hoping for that toy in the actual Botcon set.
