On the TFCC message board a member by the name of "Primeoqz" has posted stating his wife has recieved her letter of confirmation from FP regarding her place at BotCon.

I'd link to said post but it'd only be viewable to those who are registered on the board.

So keep an eye on your mailboxes ladies and gentlemen :)

    More details

Primeoqz posted the details of the letter

I bolded the parts that will most likely be most important to us in general.

Wow the Hasbro tour's being done early in the day it seems. Personally I kind of hope I'm part of the 10:45am group. Because I really haven't had to have woken up at 7am since my college days :lol

And the location of the screening is appropriate. No reason to travel far when The Providence mall, Convention Centre and Westin are connected

Fuck that. Get out of a movie at nearly 1 am, and they expect people to be there at 7? I'd rather just do the damn tour right after the movie than to go that early. I don't like getting up before 10 AM as it is. It should be illegal to wake up that early.

Don't forget you've a 50% chance of being part of the green group leaving at 10:15. And getting out of the movie at 12:30am doesn't seem like that big of a deal.

But then again my biological clock seems to enable me to get by on 6hrs sleep most of the time anyway. So while I'd prefer the green group, if I'm part of the purple group I'll deal with it. I mean c'mon it's Hasbro...they're worth it :lol  ;)

Sometimes I think they believe these are seniors conventions or something. I mean, 99% of the people going to this thing (and some people on certain panels) probably have a far greater tendency to stay up until 4 AM and then sleep til 1 than to get up early. That, or they're going to be hungover half the time. Bottom line, this is not a morning person type of crowd.

Since when do people get much sleep during Botcon anyways? I sure know I don't. Even if I get to bed early, I'm too darned excited about what's coming next to sleep much.

Thanks Shaun_C for the posting. I was going to wait until morning but I am still up. I don't know about the early group either but I'll manage as well. I wonder if they will have any panels between those times. At least the tours should finish in time for the early dealer room if the schedules are similar to the last two years.

That's because they schedule everything early...nobody has any time to sleep in.

I'm sure they're starting early to fit in the two groups. After all on Fridays Hasbro employees pretty much get done by 1pm. I'm surprised how long the tour is though, they must have special things set up to show or something since it doesn't take all that long to see the stuff most TF fans would care about (unless you love Littlest Pet Shop and want to see where they get made).

All I care about is getting into the movie screening! Come on confirmation letter.

My assumption is that the early morning time might've been the only time Hasbro and FP could get the tour to work. That and by having it early, there's less of a chance of anyone missing out on a BotCon panel or even the Faction Feud: Battle of the Boards competition

If it was early in the day then people would complain that they're missing the early sales room opening. Face it, we're going to have to compromise, given we're getting an opportunity to see something that most Transformers fan would never be able to see. I'm not a morning person, but I'm willing to sacrifice a little sleep for this opportunity.

Yeah, but we're getting to go on a tour of Hasbro, you know, the guys who make our favorite toys?
    :)

If you want me there at 3am, so be it. It's a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
