This years Botcon set is getting more and more disappointing all the time. I'm not a fan of that mold at all. It's ok for Octane, but aside from that it kinda sucks. A G2 theme could've been done so much better. Oh well, just means I won't be tempted to waste money on it.

EDIT: Oh, just saw the artwork. Using the Onslaught mold Definitely looks better than using the Octane mold. Still probably not gonna go for this set though.

Given the art on the Botcon site, Clench will be getting a new head sculpt and an interesting one to.

Can you make the fake one your new pic pick? I'm curious if this scandal will be discussed on the podcast.

Thanks! :)  Eh, ideas are cheap, and like-minded people often come up with similar ones. I just want some cool toys!

Yeah, guilty as charged there. :p  I did endeavor for, er, quantity.

But I never thought of the Breakdown thing, and he's looking to be one of the highlights of the set this year! :)  I suspect FP still has tricks up their sleeves.

Lost the joke on me Pete, late to this party. (House Painters from the outside knocked some TF Spychangers off the shelf, you know the drill.) Anyway, very glad Clench will be based on Onslaught. Don't know why FP messed with the fans though, especially since we're waiting for registration.

Vangelus, JUST talk about the Octane version of Clench on your next podcast. Only discuss that as if it that were the real thing and then link to the pics. You've said you wanted to spread misinformation in the past, dude, now here's your chance to do the real thing!

As far as Clench goes-- that was just ingenious, FP. Well-done. Judging from the front-page art, the real Clench looks wonderful. Though I wonder how accurate that art of his head is-- that mold's head has to be smoother than that to fit through its requisite hole for transformation, so either the side-antennae fold against the head for vehicle mode (which would be awesome) or the antennae are actually pretty stubby (not as awesome).

I wonder if there is any chance that the Octane/Tankor mold could actually be used for SkyByte...

Clench isn't awesome so much as the Onslaught mold is awesome. But if he had been the Tankor it would have made the difference between buying the extra bagged set and skipping it.
