Got it this morning and wow! I love the deco! Those colors work so well together. Had Crumplezone and Dark Crumplezone, but this is my favorite deco (although I prefer DC's mold). Glad they kept the electronics too. The headsculpt is not the best, but hey, it's Optimus, so I won't complain!

I don't have any version of the Crumplezone mould, so I was very pleased to see that Primal was going to use it. And I wasn't disappointed at all; he's an amazing toy.
Did you get the rest of the set as well, or just him?

Just him to go with collection of Primes... I'm still trying to find Megatron, I have a feeling it won't be easy!

EDIT : Just found out that there's a Decepticon logo on the backside of Primal's cyberkey... is it normal?

Yes. It's just a repainted Planet X Cyberkey, which was chosen because it's the only key design without any molding on the front face, so they could print that Golden Disk design on it. They didn't bother to remold it, so it still has the Decepticon insignia on the back.

    I knew Primal was evil.

It looks good. Too bad they didn't use a head sculpted from one of the other primals. I think RM Primal's head is cool. Don't know how the sizes would match up though.

Will they be releasing that figure single, or will it remain just as a botcon exclusive?

I got mine for $115. It's Axalon Megatron that is expensive (unless you want the full set?).

Got the set through the club - I sure didn't enjoy shelling out the aftermarket prices on the attendee-only pieces, but I'm glad I did. This last Botcon set was outstanding, and I eagerly anticipate Airazor's arrival as well.

I wouldn't mind seeing them continue the pre-BW forms in the club exclusives line indefinitely. Depth Charge, Rampage, Inferno, Blackarachnia, Scorponok, etc... It goofs with continuity a bit, but things were sketchy with that in this area anyway.

Actually, I would also like to get Rhinox and maybe Dinobot from that set as both are great molds and have a superior deco to the originals.

I guess I was lucky, jumped on a $85 BIN for Primal.
Back then I wasn't too sure it was worth it, but once I got him all those doubts disappeared. Axalon Primal's an awesome piece and stands proudly next BW Primal.

I've seen another Primal go for $150 and another for $125 (BIN).

Primal is very sweet, and the headsculpt is rather impressive given that it had to fit Crumplezone's dimensions. Stumpy huge-jaw ----> Heroic with antennae turned out a lot better than I'd feared. :D

Airrazor is based on Energon Slugslinger's mold. Beyond that, we don't know if they're going to continue on with a pre-BW theme or not. If I had to guess, I'd probably say no, as last year's theme was to commemorate BW's 10th anniversary.
