east coast ideally. I'd take NYC or Washington DC. I have family up in NYC and the latter is my hometown and has a beautiful convention center.

Outside of East Coast, i'd be fine with anywhere within driving distance of my grad school, so that'd be Western PA (Pittsburgh area), maryland, and Ohio.

Sorry But I know it would never go to Honolulu. I was able to talk to Salvage in 2010 and he has a list of host city that would NEVER get a Botcon. New York NY, Seattle Wa, Portland Or, Las Vegas, Nv and any where in Alaska. Im sure you could rule out Canada as well cause of the customs fees that Fp and all the USA dealer would have to pay to ship their toys up there.

Most are rolled out cause of the cost to have it there or can not get the hotel to be in the price range the fans want. He told me your would not belive how many people write negative and rude remarks when its out in CA cause the hotel goes up by 10 dollars and has one of the highest room and sale tax.

 

I always thought Atlantic City, NJ would be an awesome spot for a BotCon.

 

All for it cause I can be in Atlantic City in about 6 hours, but the problem I see is the same with Las Vegas. Its more of an adult themed area with all the gambling. So unless it would be on the outskirts of the city. I dont see them having it there.

 

Hmm, interesting. I'm thinking we will see east coast next year, but would love to see it west coast again.

 

I went ahead and voted Chicago. As much as I liked having it so close to home, I'd much prefer to go up north and experience a completely new look & feel than what I'm used to.

I saw a couple posts about NOLA, which would be cool too, but again my craving of adventure wants it to be in an east coast city. Which, Seattle & Vegas wouldn't be bad choices either! Lol

 

If it comes to Chicago, I'll definitely be there. I also want to offer walking tours in the loop, and point out where certain parts of the film were shot.
