If the comment is due to the sheer number of new heads we're getting, then I believe it.

Heck - this makes me wonder if Hasbro is doing extra heads in the tooling because the cost increase is negligible, with no plans to actually use them themselves, and then give Botcon some freebies as a result.

I was actually thinking of how Ironhide's neck works. Namely, they compensated for the head looking down on the Ironhide mold - it's possible the faceplate isn't straight-on but instead at an angle, in which case it would look better in person as straight-on lighting would kill any natural light shadows.

Looks cool but not for me. I still want that "shitty" Soundwave. Lol.

So he's the opposite version of who? The heroic Decepticon version of... Universe Treadshot? Kind of boring concept to have an opposite version of someone who has no personality.

Looks really nice, but I have question marks above my head.

Have we seen the other tooling before? I don't recall Jazz' instructions betraying that information like Scourge, G2 Prime and Wreck Gar.

    -edit-

Welp, it says as much on the tfwiki page: http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Treadshot_(SG)

At BotCon 2010 (I believe) they showed us. It was either 2010 or 2009.

I seem to recall awhile back that pictures of the Botcon slides surfaced online, when Hasbro used them for a different presentation.

Said slides had the alternate heads on them.

I'm slapping an Autobot logo on there and putting it on my Armada shelf and throwing out Armada Sideswipe.

Not really, but I should. Digging this guy a lot!

Well, that explains the contrast between this head and Soundwave's craptastic head and Overlord's disappointing head. This looks fantastic. The color scheme is perfect, and it's about time we get a good Armada homage! I... I may have to track this one down.

    Cheese & Crackers!

I'm a guy who 99.99999% needs some piece of fiction to go along with a figure to make me interested. Congrats Treadshot! you sir are the third figure to break that rule!

Yeah I could've forgiven a lot for a well executed proper Treadshot. I don't get this at all. That aside, it's a nice looking robot but pretty weak car IMO.

First one of the set I actually like. I love the mold and I like how the colors look on it. I definitely won't be getting the whole set, but if I can find him for a decent price on eBay, I'll pick him up.

    Yeah I guess that works.

_ Ha ! You can tell it's a Botcon toy as the head look half melted (or like it's made out of recycled shampoo bottles) and some one waved a lighter in front of it, and that horrible spotty silver paint rears it's ugly head again (see Shattered Rodimus/Blurr).

Hopefully that's just a hand painted Shapeways prototype head and the final head won't look as pockmarked as that.

I wonder what the story is with that horrible silver paint that just does not cover thing properly ?

Why are they still using it It's been hanging about on convention toys since at least OTFCC Mega(Black)Zarak ?

Oh and I hope we can get a third party Knife for him too - that would be a neat addition that would link to the original Armada toy nicely.

Also did someone forget to paint the A Pillars ?

0-4. This is gonna be a very cheap year for Botcon, almost as cheap as their figures :)
