You could also repurpose a Beast Wars Razorclaw. The video release's colors are closer.

 

PERFECT. Not only orange, but orange and purple, which is Oil Pan's color scheme! Brilliant choice!

And Oil Pan totally fits into that hybrid-style that Seaspray uses. Now I have to go check and see how well he fits in the hovercraft bay....

actually, for Octopunch"s inner robot, i'd take an hftd insecticon, remove the wings, paint it oranage and boom. and insecticon's legs are articulated and strong enough to just clamp on around seaspray's back in a fashion similar to aprim's pretender customs

I always liked how the front of the alt-mode kinda looks like the head sculpt for this mold.

Not hugely excited for this one right now. It is easy to imagine what the bot-mode will look like, so I am not anticipating much surprise there. Unless they do a new head on it.

You know I don't think I ever thought that mold could potentially be used for Octopunch, but it seems so obvious now.

So long as it has the old timey diving helmet. I donno if just the existing head colored purple would really pull it off...Oh god...I see the ducks...

 

I doubt we will see a new head on this guy considering that it was most likely chosen for the original diving mask head.

 

Venksta will another project if there's no new head.

 

If anyone's interested, did this digibash yesterday to see what he may potentially look like. Just imagine most of the crimson bits being green and having a blue tattoo on his chest.

This is kinda my feeling on them as well. It really didnt help using tracks for 2 club exclusives AND in the Botcon set. We also just got a Thunderwing repaint in stores. Oh well least ill have extra money to spend on other TFs.

Remember what I said about the BC figures dissappointing me? Octopunch makes up for them. All of them. Even that dinky Soundwave.
