Your coloring really makes it fit in with LSOTW, when I saw the thumbnail I had to make sure it wasn't the Roche himself :)

So what's your opinion? To me, the first cut off shot of Gigatron on page 2 makes it look like he could be holding a golf club. Then the pulled back full shot in the next panel shows it to be his sword held at a somewhat oblique angle (it actually took me a minute to figure out that it was supposed to be his sword and not some random roundish stabby weapon). Purposeful joke or just a coincidence?

I did that as a custom some years ago.

    Ursa Magnus

The pics are gone, sadly, but the colors are spot on to my custom.

I guess it's a case of parallel creation then since I've been using the ID and had the character since '03 when I joined the Allspark.

That it would. I noted your join date and figured you were not the individual to whom I had sold (cry) that piece to.

Guess now we know why Botcon Octopunch is SG.

Namely, because he's still got a Pretender shell.

Still really want a Botcon Stranglehold from Transmetal Rhinox, though.

what? there's no SG character in this at all, those are all just evil decepticons... unless of course inside the pretenders are their SG selves, or something like that... but i do like the idea of Stranglehold from TM Rhinox...

No, no. I mean as in Botcon Octopunch is based off the shell design, and is an SG toy.

It's clear that the Pretenders are the Classics versions, which makes complete sense when you think about it since those are their Marvel US bodies (and losing the Pretender shells would be a downgrade). So since they went with those designs, the updates kinda had to be SG.

And yeah, Rhinox seems like a good fit if only because you can replicate the bare-chested gladiator look really easily.

ah, okay, i see what you're saying now. I still think it'd be cool to see the Botcon toys explode out of those bodies and be the SG versions who've been in hiding, but that wouldn't work for the story since they're the good guys in SG... oh well...

i'm still not a fan of this Metalhawk look at all, other than laughing at it and thinking of it as Generations Lumpy, and that's only because it's ridiculously stupid and silly and makes me laugh...

I have to say though that this comic is doing a great job of selling me on Gigatron's toy. I can see what the designers had in mind by looking at the art, and that helps me like thetoy more.

Trying to decide what his voice should be though. Not sure if it should be intimidating like Clancy Brown or a British voice to homage LSotW's writing team/Marvel UK.

After reading the LSOTW hardcover, I really want the Botcon Overlord toy now. Looks like there's a reason for him to have a sword, too.

So... doesn't look like Rad or Mainframe will get new toys, since those are clearly the Action Master bodies (I thought Mainframe would be cool as a repainted Generations Soundwave).

What are the rumored extra figures again? SG Octopunch, Spinister (SG?), Kick-Off, SG Junkions... and...? I can't even remember now.

Drooling over the Overlord and Metalhawk bodies in action. Call me uncritical, but I thought these were neat from the start.
