When I saw that picture ( before I read the brochure), I thought it was gonna be a pirates vs ninjas set. Cannonball and his crew against Soundwave and some other ninjas!

Does anyone with past experience know typically how long Iacon sets last?

 

I'm the only one who thinks that's SG Bludgeon, not SG Ultra Magnus.

I mean he has a skull face and a sword.

Guys it's not Overlord, it's Gigatron:

Overlord is just the adjective used to describe Gigatron.

We can already guess three of the molds that are being used (RTS Prime, Univ Ratchet/Ironhide and RTS Tracks), I'm curious to know who they're using for Gigatron and Metal Hawk.

 

Unknown at this point. Since RiD isn't the theme and we have no idea if Hasbro will release a black Laser Prime redeco or not at retail, it is at least a possibility for FunPub until we hear otherwise regarding Hasbro's plans.

As for Botcon, I like the sound of the set. Overlord and especially Metalhawk sound awesome, and some of the Shattered Glass figures at least sound like they could work as dual purpose Classics toys anyways. I don't mind that FunPub going back to SG so often since it is their baby and if they want to flesh out their own universe, then hey cool. I can choose to pass on those toys if the decoes don't appeal to me anyways.

Count me as another that doesn't like the sound of registration occurring so soon after Christmas. Can't they wait a few weeks? Plus the TFCC exclusive figures are supposed to go up in January, so that'll be an expensive month for anyone planning to get some or all of them.

 

I hate to piss on the parade. But I think the timing of all this sucks. Registration is going up right after the holidays. The actual convention is in April (instead of the summer time). Some of us are parents that have kids in school. The club is really screwing the pooch this year, in my opinion. I'm glad I didn't renew my membership.

 

Overlord has been known as Gigatron in some releases.

 

Optimistically, a remolded Cyclonus. A straight up repaint of Black Shadow would not surprise me.

 

Ah yes I forgot that's what they called the PVC Overlord when it was released in the Heros of Cybertron Line.

I'd buy a Cyclonus repaint, but I'd hope they don't use the thunderwing mold.
