Annual event for BotCon goers, the TFW2005 meet and greet (and drink) will be held on Friday night, starting at 9pm, in the Sheraton Hotel bar (Charlie's Bar) at 9pm. Festivities will start there, not guaranteed to end there, but the bar is open till 1am.

Come meet some of your attending TFW2005 staff (Tony_Bacala, Super_Megatron, Sol Fury, Kickback, Deefuzz, Vangelus, GogDog, Seth Buzzard, Razerwire) and mingle with other TFW2005 board members! The only thing we can guarantee is a good time.

WHEN: Friday at 9pm
WHERE: Charlie's Bar, Sheraton Hotel
HOW LONG: Till the bar is out of beer or we're kicked out!

Just a forewarning.

We have been known to:

1) Drain the bar of all their beer

This happened, famously, in Lexington, Kentucky (2006). The hotel bar was unprepared for the amount of alcohol that was to be consumed by nerds, and the party moved from the hotel bar to downtown Lexington, where geeks mingled with college girls.

2) Cincy in 2008

The hotel bar closed early (though we got hooked up after they closed, that's a story for another time) and so we invaded downtown Cincy and ended up at a bar that, thanks to the downtown scene and a ton of nerds, stopped allowing people in due to capacity limits (their capacity was over 600 easily).

3) Pasadena, 2004

Different hotel, but somehow ended up in downtown Los Angelas. Don't ask.

 

The infamous "AAAEEEYYYY" started at OTFCC 2003, the first "gathering" as, at the time, it was the largest group of TFW2005 staff to show up. The "Knuckles Sports Bar" was invaded, and between staff getting alcohol poisoning (Jux), glasses being broken (myself), and our loud noise bringing more people in (Dreamwave, Hasbro, Voice Actors), it was a pretty crazy night.

Word of advice - when you introduce yourself to people, I found this works best:

"Hey! How are ya? I'm Chris, post as Kickback at 2005".

Bam. Done. And people will call you by your board name, so get used to it.
