The cards in the cases read July but then the Hasbro reps said during their first panel that the wrong cards had been put out and the FE figures aren't launching until Dec.

Frontpage updated with a writeup. I spoke with Alvarez and Archer beforehand and they did say "no blogging". Very shady of the Allspark.

At least we can say TFWers were good little transfans. :D
Before Botcon ends, can somebody ask the respective rep what exactly the "First Edition" on the wave 1 Prime toys' packaging means? Or is it already confirmed to be a Star Wars the Clone Wars metallic-blue-packaging-for-the-first-day-release-thing?

Did they actually show what the new Nexus Prime looks like? If so, what exactly is different? Does the head at least look the same?

So the 13 aren´t being conceived as toys? But what about the prototype we saw a few weeks ago?

So basically, TFP and WFC both stand on their own, But they heavily share the same mythos template.

    That was a 2D sketch.

    I'll second that.

They showed Nexus. My first reaction was thinking it was a movie character put in to War for Cybertron styling, then that it was a Speedster archetype, then "HOLY CRAP IS THAT JAZZ-wait." He doesn't look like a gestalt overtly, I can say that. His head has what looks like a visor/glasses, and it's not TOO same, but in hindsight, I can say...maybe? I want to see more.

Also, Sol, I disagree on Solus. She looked more light purple than any shades of pink, and that was a hammer, not a scepter. Blacksmith archetype, sirrah!

They look incredible, though, and I agree that anyone who WAS posting updates during the panel is more than shady. I make this face ---> B|

As for the Prima prototype, I'm thinking that they may touch on the Prime cartoon at some point...and MAYBE that could end up being a character model? The idea of 13 toys was definitely shut down, though. As far as I can tell. I'd love to see some sculpture or kitbashing, though.

I took a few sketches of the 13 that were shown and Aaron kind of laughed when I asked if I could share, but I probably would have laughed too. My art is not that good. :(  The best one I ended up with was Solus and then Vector because he's my ~favorite~.

I don't think they meant they weren't ever going to get toys, just that they weren't creating them with toys in-mind.

That wasn't a prototype, that was a drawing.

    Thirded! :thumb

Glad to know Hasbro knew about the whole Erector thing and made it clear that it's characters that, as Aaron said, "changed the dynamic of the story".
