What are the odds that botcon 2009 will be a re-visit to providence in June of 2009 for the premier weekend for transformers 2? if it is, its an easy go for me, and many other east coast canadians, but other wise, if it's somewhere middle america, i most likely won't be able to attend.

No matter where it's located there will be people who will and won't be able to go. I know a lot of people who won't be able to go if it's on the east coast but would be able to go if it was held on the West coast. I don't really care where it's held, I just wish they'd announce it so people have time to plan.

It would be super helpful for us international folks if they would release dates / locations fairly early.

If this happens I will be trilled, because I will definitly be able to afford it and can go. All I would need is to money to spend there and the 200-300 the Primus Package costs. Since I live in RI I have no need to go to a hotel that weekend. I think there's a decent chance it will happen.

    I LOVED the hasbro tour!!!!!

I would love to see that again for the new lines.
To me, the tour gives an edge over any other location.

I wouldn't mind that since it's only a five hour drive for me, but I highly doubt that the convention will return to Rhode Island that soon.

I'm hoping it to be in Philly since they are doing a ton of filming here. Plus, there's a giant convention center and there's tons to do in this city.

I've said that since day one when it was announced that filming will take place here.

I seriously doubt they would bring it back to RI next year. JoeCon has a much better chance of going to RI than BotCon.

It's not likely to be in the same place two years running unless there's some kind of scheduling conflict or overriding reason to do so. Or if JoeCon beats up BotCon and takes its convention space.

Man I want a chance to do Providence, RI again. The tour on the 25th anniversary would be awesome. They would be helping us out by letting us know at least 6-8 months in advance. Last years con snook up on us.

Actually it would be pretty cool if they had it in Philly, held a screening of the film and then maybe a tour of the filming locations the next day? That would be neat.

it wouldn't be two years in a row, and it IS the 25th ann. what better place than to have it at hasbro HQ again. movie premier, hasbro Hq, 25th ann, 4 hotels across the street from each other connected to the convention hall.

i'm trying to save to go no matter where it is, but i really liked providence. it has a wonderful historic history, and everything is all right there.

    just a hope.

I hope I could go depending on the status of the sequal, Classics/2.0, and most importantly Animated.

I'll find a way to go, wherever it is. RI would be sweet, though; I liked it there.

Talking to Pete Sinclair this past Botcon, he said RI would definitely not be happening for 2009.

They have 10 or so locations down for consideration, RI was NOT on that list.

Oh well. It'd be a nice touch to have a 'significant' location for the silver anniversary, though. Well, as long as it wasn't out in the middle of nowhere. Good facilities trump a brand-related name.

I'd like to see it there, I'd be very likely to go unlike '07 when I was on vacation when it was going on:(

I am hoping for a southern location. I am still rooting for Myrtle Beach SC, I know where the good bars are, by the Convention Center.

I could see a LA show and have a premere party atmosphere.

Another thought is Indianapolis, not because it's my back yard, but because it's Karl's back yard, and would follow after it being in Pete's back yard last year.
