his biocard refers to him being "overthrown" by the Three that would later become the Tripredacus council...and then him returning after the reformatting cybertron....

So does this fit this character into the Beast wars/Beast machines time frame---hence the "reformatting" that happened at the end of beast machines?

Or is it referring to the change from autobots/decepticons factions to the predacon/maximals being in dominance now?

So does this razorclaw fit into the beastwars time frame or the universe/G1 area?

It's actually both. Recent media like the 2006 BotCon comic and some of IDW's BW work has indicated that the Predacon faction of the Beast Era grew out of the original Predacon sub-group in some fashion. So the overthrow of Razorclaw by the Tripredacus Council refers to the period between G1 and the Beast Era. Razorclaw's return post-reformatting, however, refers to the reformatting of the planet at the end of Beast Machines. The short scene featuring him at the end of the 2006 BotCon comic is set between 50 and 100 years after end the of BM according to writer Pete Sinclair.
