Wow, I live here and I might take the tour. Those are some great places. Laser Tag, Jungle Jim's, The Earth, and Queen City Comics.

Does anyone know if they except debit cards for payment? I don't have a CC, but I can get one of those prepaid Visa cards easy.

IT all sounds like great is ahead of us. How can any self-respecting 2005 member not partake in a tour that includes Beer? Sign me up.

I Like the idea behind the story this year. Yeah it's cheezy Sci-Fi, but it's always fun to explore the bad side of good and the good side of bad. We should get some very cool looking toys in colors we wouldn't normally expect them to be in. (except prime, as any dark version him is gonna be compaired to Scourge, Nemesis Prime and Menasor)

And I dig your new avatar, Pete. Hehehe, I Grock Spock. (you never mentioned you were a Trekkie.)

It sounds like a bad fanfic, but I'm almost tempted to write my own version :lol
    I'll pick up the non-attending.

Same reason why Dinobot and not Megs was in the 06 set. By having the opposing leader be an add-on, you'll sell more add-on sets. Not that they;ve had many problems selling the add-ons, but still.

    I love the mirrorverse concept

But I'm biased since I had suggested it when I filled out the Botcon '06 survey :)

This topic indicates that there seems to be more excitement over the Jungle Jim supermarket than the figure set.

It sounds as though it could be memorable, however. The Cybertron Starscream mold has potential, but it will be interesting to see how it differs from the retail figure.

I cannot tell you how awesome it is. Read the Wikipedia entry.

Edit: Holy crap! They got a Cici's there now. I hope we can stop there to eat. It's a killer pizza buffet.

Chances are, Razorclaw will be the Cybertron Legends Leobreaker/Classics Legends Leo Prime repainted as Razorclaw.

I want to echo the question as to whether they should be considered part of Classics like last year, or a totally new set? Just curious..

Very tempted by the tours for once...I haven't been to that museum since I lived in Dayton in the 80's.

Not excited at all about the set so far. Have to see them first. Also, I'd like to know who the guests will be.

Not real keen on the Mirrorverse theme. It seems too much like "What If" or "Elseworlds." Alien robots are already imaginary enough. Now we're potentially taking an imagined retelling of a familiar imaginary story....:inquisiti  Still, the Mirrorverse idea worked really well for Star Trek, and it even worked fairly well for Superfriends in the 70s (see "Universe of Evil," which was a total rip-off of the Trek episode).

In any event, Fun Pubs & Co. has a proven track record for delivering stellar TF toys that are flippin' fantastic. So, I am willing to give this year's theme a chance.

One thing's for sure: Anything is going to seem a bit disappointing after FP's BotCon 07 Classics set. That set was pure gold, and nigh impossible to top.
