Wouldn't it be a nice twist if this great demand is actually inflated due to speculators hoping to cash in on the movie buzz and, when these sets make it to Ebay, no one is willing to fork over the big bucks? That would be awesome for the collectors that missed out on getting them before they sold out.

 

That's some serious wishful thinking right there. Don't count on it.

 

Not for people who couldn't afford it at the time. We have to look forward to $90+ a fig on eBay now. Go us.

 

Personaly I feel it is a shame they did the remaining seekers as exclusives, but oh well. I am glad this years outing did well for them.

 

I got my convention set ordered, and the loose set for a friend. It's nice to know that there's at least one person out there who won't have to pay the extraordinate price on eBay for them.

 

Did people really need BOTH the boxed and loose sets? I mean, there's only much to go around, seems really unfair :/

Just to make things clear, those who ordered the loose sets were also TF Collectors Club members right?

I faxed a reg form asking for an extra loose set & Angie said I had to be part of the Collector Club to get them.

 

and here i was thinking of poping over to the club after the convention to order me a set  ...but at least i have the boxed set  

 

The way I understand it, you just need to order either the Iacon or Primus package to order the extra loose set. Don't necessarily need to be a club member but it works out better ($10 cheaper, club issues, and free club figure) if you become a member then order either the Iacon or Primus that way.

 

Do people, especially adults, really NEED toys? They want one set to play/mess around with and one set to keep mint or something. It's no more unfair than life.

 

I'm not part of the Collectors Club, but I did order the attending Primus Package.

Did anybody else succeed in ordering a 2nd loose set with just the Primus Package?

I think he means a second set of toys, that are loose. Not 2 sets of loose toys.

 

What's left to say, honestly? To those who are going, enjoy your time and your toys! As for the rest of us, I'll leave it up to the individual to decide what to do. For me, the enjoyment of figures like these comes second to the ability to pay for them. This exclusive business does not mesh with a low budget lifestyle. Life goes on. Like IG said, life isn't fair and that makes it ok to accept and purvey said ideology. :-\ But don't let me spoil things. I'm a raving madman! Grr!
