I'm not too thrilled about Blurr. I fucking hate Blurr. Moreso than wheelie. He's so annoying.

Weird Al is good, putting aside his spoof music (which I quite enjoy) he has a funny voice, and this could be quite entertaining!

I am 80% satisfied with the cast, including Kaye as Prime. The only thing I don't get is Blackarachnia. A spider transformer in a show with mostly vehicle bots?

It's nice to know the Constructicons will make a return aswell.

 

It would be cool if Black Arachnia, Waspinator, and Inferno showed up as an insecticon splinter group from the decepticons.

 

Whoo, much better than I expected. Now, all that's left to see are the figs themselves. 

 

Inferno, HELL YEAH! As long as he's still a spaz. And I mean a real spaz, not an anime knock-off spaz.

 

I would have liked they just used Bumper Robinsons natural voice maybe sped it up. He played the Drac Zammis in Enemy Mine.

 

And they should command armies of drones based off the G1 insecticons...

I was at the panel today, and I am now damn impressed by Transformers Animated. Screw any gripes I may have had with the animation style, I love the cast!

And for those of you who didn't/couldn't go, we got to hear some of Kaye's Prime and Grimlock. Prime is his normal speaking voice, but more heroic (as he put it). Apparently they decided to drop the idea of Prime being younger. Grimlock sounded almost dead on compared to Gregg Berger.

Jeff Bennett voiced Brooklyn in Gargoyles. THAT is a voice I see working for Prowl. And David Kaye said that Bennett can do a darn good impression of Robert Stack, which he is apparently using for Ultra Magnus. The man has some serious range.

That's an impressive list. I'm looking forward to seeing this show (not as much as the toys for this show though). I love that Werid Al is going to be in this.

It should be pointed out that other sites are reporting that besides the core Autobots we've seen pictured, the other characters will be one episode cameo characters.

 

Yeah, people need to stop saying "I don't know..." about these voice actors based on one voice they've done in the past. Almost all of them have a vast array of voices they can perform. Just because the man did Johnny Bravo does not mean every character he does sounds like that. Just look at his credits - he has immense talent

 

A funny thought occurs that Welker could be tapped for a one-shot character - Waspinator.  

(I remember when BW was first on the air I assumed Frank Welker was doing Waspy's voice, since he was invariably the guy who did that type of voice in most cartoons for a long time)

 

I'm not sure why they said that. David Kaye said that SOME characters, such as Weird Al's, who is apparently an overly happy garbage truck TF ("I LIKE garbage!" was Kaye's quote of the character), would be one-shots and wouldn't be made into toys. Not everyone besides the five on the promo pic.

Also, according to Kaye Waspinator will be in the series, but he won't be voiced by Scott McNeil due to legal stuff.

 

Since it hasn't been brought up (and I neglected to add it earlier), Kaye also mentioned that Fred Willard will be a guest voice, but I don't think he said who he would voice.

 

dammit, they're doing a garbage truck. My dream of creating a never before done alt mode (aside from flytrap or whatever in gobots), is shattered.

Still - can't wait to see how they do it.
