Featured Ebay Auction - Botcon 1995 Nightracer
wow....I consider myself to be fairly well-studied in Botcon lore, but I've never heard of this one.
Nightracer - Transformers - Transformers Resources
Our Resources section has all the info you could want. If you are curious about other Botcon items you didn't know about, check out our Convention Exclusives section.

thanks. I think I read the Wikipedia page from beginning to end one time when I first got into the whole Botcon figure collecting thing. I'll check out this stuff for sure. Is there anything this site DOESN'T do?
Hmmm, I'll be surpised if someone bites on that... I got mine for around $50 just a few years ago. I believe she has the distinction of having the longest tech spec in the history of TFs. Raksha was never one for brevity.
Pics if anyone wants to see more of this one:
Would it beat all possible to use those for our Resources page on Nightracer?
I told Sol Fury the other day that anything from my photobucket is up for grabs if it will help with resources. Glad to help where I can. The only drawback might be that I don't have pictures of both modes for a number of things.
That's cool. I do appreciate you letting us use it and anything else. I'll have to look through and see what we can add. I cleaned up the image a bit and added it. Thanks again.
Man, she's a goldy, that's for sure. And limited to 300 pieces, too.
Thanks for another amazing auction, Joe.
Bought one on ebay a while ago as well. It came in a bag but excluded the card. Cool little figure. But I didn't pay nearly as much as what this seller wants for it.
One of the few Spychangers that still eludes my grasp! No way would I pay $300 though...no way.
A great, rare piece to behold. But, I just can't help but get the biggest kick out of the Decepticon insignia with crazy jpeg artifacting stickered on (maybe the quality of the insignia is also due to aging, I don't know). It gives me an idea of how rare this figure is: made waay before botcon was an officially sponsored event. Was Nightracer a handmade exclusive, or was she factory produced?
Raksha, the convention organizer, handpainted the blue stripes and created and applied the Decepticon sticker. If your Nightracer is one of the 298 from the con, it has these. A number of others of undetermined origin were sold later, but without these features.
This shouldn't be thought of as "just" a Gobot/Spychanger - This really is a piece of Botcon history.
However, the asking price is a little bit out there. And his comment about "I haven't even seen one listed on here before" is a joke. Clicking Completed Auctions brings up 2. The most recent one was only a week ago and it went for only about half of his price.
ive seen a few of these on ebay lately
I sold mine a couple of weeks ago for a decent price.
I bought one about 3 months ago from ebay MINT for about $125. My friend just bought one a couple weeks ago from the bay for I think he said like $165 and it wasn't in as good a condition as mine. So yeah, it varies but not $300 varies. And it't not that rare to see it pop up.
300 dollars?! I don't think so.
