I didn't see this posted, but the schdule was posted on the Botcon website... http://www.botcon.com/BotCon09/BC09schedule.pdf
Yeah, I'm gonna be in the panel room a LOT this year. Poor David Kaye, though. His one panel he's sharing with Weird Al, and you darn KNOW who's going to get at least 80-90% of the questions at that one.
I'll have to get Peter Cullen's autograph the first time cause the second mixes with the Hasbro panel. I need to make a good game plan...
Is anyone worried about the dealers buying out all the First release ROTF figures, or is that Hasbro's booth specificaly? and as a botcon noob, what is MSTF?
Hopefully, Hasbro will have some sort of limit on the ROTF stuff. From what I was told the MSTF is a Transformers version of Mystery Science Theater 3000.
The Botcon brochure clearly states that "If you sign up for either tour or the Transformers classes, you will pick up your registration materials on Wednesday night from 9:30 pm -10 pm. This means that you can be first in line for the souvenir figures offered on Thursday night. Sign-up today!" However, according to the schedule, the club store won't even be OPEN on Thursday and dealers get first crack. WTF?
Anybody know anything about this "Transform Me" documentary they have listed on the schedule?... Did a quick Google on it. Hadn't heard about this before.
It is a change. I remember going on the tour at Botcon 2007 and being in line at the club store on Thursday while regular registration was going on. It makes NO SENSE to advertise getting first crack at the show exclusives on Thursday as an incentive to pay for the tours and then not even having the store open Thursday, giving dealers first crack at the exclusives, AND leaving the tour attendees to stand in line with everyone who registered on Thursday. As far as I can tell, that would make what they said in the brochure a complete lie, wouldn't it?
TransForm ME Documentory Looks interesting, but I don't know that I'm willing to stay up till after 1AM to see it...
Agreed. I haven't watched all the video blogs yet, but, for what I have watched, I don't get a good sense of how this is turning out.
Saturday, 1:00-2:50 -- "Panel: Hasbro Review and Q&A" I'm assuming that should be "Preview". Depending upon the news about Animated, I'm not sure Hasbro will want to be reviewed by BotCon goers....
It seems like it may be difficult to get autographs this year with some of the guests only having 1 autograph session. I'm hoping they'll release some more info about the Paramount party.
