Ok, to start off with Bot Shots can be regular cute little figures if you want, or they can work with a rock, paper, scissors type system with symbols on their chests (as can be seen here):

Then you can roll them at each other (there's no pull-back motors) & they have a pressure sensitive point on their bumpers that causes an auto-transform, which is when you get to see the symbol/number (Sentinel is a 'fist' & has a score of 980, though the number only comes into play if you have two Bots with the same symbol) EDIT: just found that the symbol in the chest can rotate ala Universe Dinobot's faction symbols, so you have a choice of any one of the 3 symbols!

For some reason there was onlyone Sentinel Prime on the shelf, which was translucent, so I don't know if all Sentinels are like that or whether it's a special version etc..

He is about the size of a Legend/Legion figure in alt. mode (which is a Rosenbaum type fire-truck thing) & has some really nice detailing when you look really close.

With a tap of the bumper, he then springs up instantly to a very short height. There isn't any articulation sadly, but he does resemble Kreo Sentinel's design & could fit into a G1 Robot Heroes collection.

They also had Optimus, Starscream, Bumblebee & Barricade on the shelf.

All in all though, this isn't a bad little novelty figure if you fancy collecting them for fun; and the game-play feature adds a bit more variety for these Bot Shots, especially for kids.

EDIT: Forgot to add snaps of the packaging!

Needs more movie Sentinel less bizzare G1/Animated mix Sentinel in the helmet.

Also needs to not be clear plastic.

    To death.

Perhaps the translucent versions will be made in lesser quantities, and we'll get a solid version as well?

Fantastic that their so small. That makes them more appealing for the SD niche. Rather than their other deformed movie kids toys that have been quite massive. And clearly in the size that kids who dig bakugan may look at them.

I just have one question. How is this Sentinel?? In what incarnation/universe does this character resemble any version of Sentinel that fans are familiar with? I'm thinking... is this a sneek peak at a future Prime character? Vehicle mode seems awfully simplistic if so, but simplistic is the name of the game with these Bot Shots. It's got me scratching my bald pate.

    Movie/Kreo.

Same alt-mode, same G1 interpretation of the robot mode.

... and yeah, I think they do have things backwards. Fist beating sword is just... what?

It's really a dead ringer for Kre-O Sentinel, who in turn is just Movie Sentinel with Animated Sentinel's head G1-ified.

Yeah. Because the movie design is Ultra Magnus with a robo beard. Which is really in keeping with Sentinel head designs. The Marvel G1 design is Rodimus Prime, the Dreamwave/IDW is a mix of Optimus and Rodimus. Really the only uniquely Sentinel Prime head design comes from animated. It's why they've de-animated it and are using it for any new Sentinel design that comes.

Yes these look cool, but whoever came up with the hierarchy is dumb. It doesn't make good sense at all.

Meee Weapon should 100% beat Hand to Hand

And Ranged should logically beat Melee

Then sure Hand to Hand beats Ranged which is a little weaker a connection but just assume HtH got in close.

That hierarchy just feels a lot more natural than the "um no" way they arranged it. Someone wasn't thinking,

-ZacWilliam, on the upside there's nothing stopping you from playing with the less dumb rules anyway.
