Found the Optimus and megatron bot shot launchers at a riverside Walmart just moments ago. I don't recall a sighting for these yet. More info when I get home
Yeah, my local Target said they had them in stock in the aisles, but all I saw was an empty peg for them, so I guess they sold out.
Thanks for the DPCI. I'll have to go track these down. I didn't notice, but do other botshots fit in the launchers or just the ones that they come with?
I was originally kind of uncertain toward Bot Shots, but after seeing the first wave of them at my local Walmart yesterday, I now really want to get the toys. They're kind of goofy, but I think they're really cool in an odd way. And I'm guessing those launchers are just so the player doesn't have to shove the toy forward with enough force to start the basic game, but I think I might be wanting them, too. : D
Nice. Not in around me yet. I really want these... none of the first wave really tickle my fancy, but I'm definitely getting the Optimus Prime launcher, as well as Mirage and probably Thundercracker. Maybe Jetfire.
What in the unholy abomination of hell are these? What happened to "Transformers"? We should be getting Generations figs and updates that are worth a shit to figures we loved as a kid. Articulation and vibrant colors. Why in the hell is it lately that 3rd party has been doing all of that and we keep getting celebrated trash like this? WTF?!?!! If theres a bright side at all its that the guy who does the Hot Wheels transformers will have official TF fodder to play with.
Ever hear of Decoys? Attackix? Robot Heroes? Bumper Battlers? Mighty Muggs? The DotM Activators? We've been getting cutesy little TFs for a long time. They're not preventing larger releases from coming out, but running concurrently. At least these transform, are painted surprisingly well, and have a wide variety of characters.
The pegs for the launchers at all three of my local big box stores are empty, but prepared. I imagine they will be full by next week tops. BTW, I love these toys! My sons love them too! I have all five series ones and the autobot value pack. I saw the value packs at Walmart yesterday, but they only had three. Someone bought the decepticon one before I got to it. Why did the idiots at Hasbro think a 3:1 ratio for these would be a good idea is beyond me. Just a small side note, I think the sentinel prime one should have been Ironhide. He even looks like him. Especially since these are G1 style.
At Walmart they were 8.96, a STEAL for 3 bots!! DO NOT buy them from TRU, they are $15. Honestly after the return debacle I had with TRU this weekend I will never shop there again. I don't care what they have or for how much.
Botshots are the first genuinely interesting thing to happen to Transformers for several years. Everything else was either a retread or more of the same they these are new fresh cute and fun. and if Hasbro want to make a couple of hundred of them i'd buy the lot with the same or better enthusiam I buy Microns. They are possibly even cuter than Kreons and unlike Kreons they also Transform. They are also dirt cheap.
