They pointed out a couple things I didn't notice the first time. @ the Marcus statue. I'm glad they didn't forget about him, he was one of my favorite characters in Borderlands.
Zero looks bloody awesome, totally playing as him first...this just shot up to 2nd most anticipated game for me, just behind Halo 4
They have announced a new class a pre-order bonus, the Mechromancer Borderlands 2 Mechromancer Class Revealed - PlayStation 3 News at IGN Is it just me or does the new character look a little familiar...
I'm really looking forward to this. New class looks great too, I'll be using her for sure. I was just thinking 'I really don't want to be the turret guy again' and she has a robot arm so that works for me. Also doesnt hurt that I pre-order the stuff I want so I'll get her automatically. Another nice thing is the addition of costumes and cosmetic gear as in-game rewards, I'm really into that kind of thing so it'll be interesting to see just how far they take it. Hoping it wont just be pallet swaps of the standard gear. It was also nice to see how many more options you have for how you want to build the character. I used Roland in 1, so I was half set up to be offensive for single player, and half defensive/support for playing co-op. Sounds arrogant, but healing turret + healing bullets = credit to team. Just hope the Mechromancer is available at release so I can get cracking straight away.
Well I was going to pre-order it anyway.... Totally going to get the collectors edition. I need my own Marcus bobble head!
I was in the PAX East panel when they announced it- the Mechromancer will be a DLC character, available 60-90 days after the game's release. It will be free if you pre-order, otherwise it will be priced as normal DLC. There's also 2 levels of collector's editions. One will be $99 and includes the bobble head, the other will be $150 and comes in an in-game style weapon chest. There's other stuff too but he didn't list everything.
I hope they give us a couple more DLC character classes down the road too. 150 for a weapon chest style case? How am I going to talk my wife into that? Chuck
