Eep. I wonder if anyone will try to blame Commando for this.

That's what happens when you don't put your tray table away and your seat in the upright locked position.

    lol Nach

I guess there's a small benefit in having so many people in the world.
For every stupid idea, there's someone born to try it.

I do feel bad for this guy's family though. Heartbroken and embarrassed, not a fun combo.

Seriously didn't i read about a dude who tried this in russia or on a flight to/from russia who suffered incredible injuries if not died? If someone is going to try this they should google it first imo if you die this way you deserved to die

I'm quite sure those who do it, are in desperate circumstances so googling wether one would die or not wouldn't really cross their mind. If someone's mind is made up/forced by situation then they are gonna do it anyway. I remember reading ages ago about someone who did the same thing and survived but was obviously caught by authorities, and it was found out the dude was running away from a mafia and had no money so took the chance.

It could've been worse. He could've hitched a lift on Oceanic 815.

Bummer he died, but t'was a seriously dumb thing to do.

So that guy did survive I thought he did but with massive frostbite right?

If you can manage to get to the airport, sneak into secured areas and then climb into the landing gear you can definitely take some time to research it before hand. IMO one should only chance this if your mindset is "I'd rather be dead then fail to make it" also the guy was in the US not a third world county and snuck onto a flight to friggin japan which is several hours I imagine even if you left from the west coast this mission was doomed to failure before it started I think.
