I'll miss "Price is Right." Freshman year, everyone on our floor in the dorm would wake up early and watch that before heading downstairs to class. Oh, well- I guess he deserves retirement after so long.

If they get Richard Karn to take his place, the show is dead.

Too bad...I never watched the show, but I have family members who have gone to see the show many times, and an Aunt that was a contestant on it once. They'll probably be REALLY disappointed.

I love the price is right.

This is too bad, but you got to give the guy a break, he is 83!!!

They need to find some one really good to fill those shoes...

Maybe the guy who does the newer Americas funniest videos?

Damn. He's 83? I knew he was getting on in years, but not that he was THAT old.

My hat is off to him.

He definitely deserves a break after doing the show 5 days a week for 35 years. You don't get that kind of job security like that anymore. It sucks cause I watch the show on my lunch break when I'm at the gym. It definitely won't be the same without him.

I think he is retiring cause there are no new girls to hit. At 83, I'm sure he poked'em all.

Well he had a long career in show business. I think it is time for him to retire. The show will not be the same with out him. I will give it one year, to last, after he retires.

It's gonna be a sad day when he leaves that stage for the last time.

I'm honestly surprised. I'd always figured he'd die on that stage, microphone in hand.

Price is Right has been a big nostalgia show for me. I'd always watch it when I got sick as a kid and got to stay home from school. If I'm awake and thinking about it, I still turn it on some mornings. It's going to be a very different show without ol'Bob.

They should just keep his head in a jar and make him continue doing the show well into the 3000's.

Damn, sucks he's retiring. I've been watching Price is Right for as long as I can remeber. If they do replace Bob, I wonder who it will be. I don't think anyone else could do as well of a job hosting the show.

I thought he had died like years ago. Seriously. I just thought they kept playing re-runs of the show because it was just a staple.

Well, glad to hear I was wrong and hopes he lives to enjoy his retirement for a couple years.

I too thought (judging by thread title) that he'd passed on. And yeah, I expected that he'd pass while doing the show - longtime announcer Rod Roddy did. I like the quip about nude scenes - that's great stuff - and I'd love to see him in more movies - Adam Sandler could sure make use of him! :)
