I was eying a Beast Machines Dinobots Striker on a local auction site, when I noticed he has a rather large amount of gold plastic.

I did a quick Google search of Gold Plastic Syndrome, but I could find nothing mentioning Striker in relation to it.

Anyway, if any of you have ever owned Striker, has his gold plastic ever given you grief?

No problems on mine, but I don't handle him that often, and I've avoided the worst of GPS on my toys.

All my BM toys are fine & have zero flaking issues on my BM display shelf.

the only Transmetal Beastwars toy I have that had Flaking was deluxe 1998 TM1 Rattrap.

The only problem with Striker is that his gold pegs tend to snap off on his hip plates(inside).

I'd be a bit careful. He might be okay, but he kinda reminds me of BW Torca, who suffered from GPS. You might be better off getting the Universe repaint or something, just in case.

The sockets where the ball joints connect to on his dinosaur halves are also known to shatter.
