Can someone explain to me why Drift/Blurr doesn't have a waist joint, but he has a double joint for the clip on his back. What the hell does that do? The point of it seems to be to get the back weapon further from the body so it doesn't obstruct waist articulation- oh wait!
I doubt it. Drift's sword gets in the way of his head and legs just as much and more when I move that clip. I really don't think Hasbro would shell out the extra expense for more pieces and metal pins for something that isn't even in the instructions and makes a 1% difference to the appearance. But Leader Primes calves do pop out two millimeters and that's also not documented, so maybe Hasbro does make financially pointless decisions (entire PCC line).
I know your not able to give a totorial right now but can we get a few different angled pics of the feet? For the people that might get it from them.
As far as the foot goes, all he did was hack of the original foot, leaving the back panel that forms part of the roof. That's folded the opposite direction and he added a strip of plastic for the sole/heel where the original foot was.
Here are some pics to help you with the waist. The car form is with the moded waist and legs fliped. I know this is with my drift but I plan on leaving drift normal and doing this to blurr.
this looks really good dude. What did you use for the waist joint? I'm in the process of adding a waist to both my blurr and drift with extra gundam polycaps and I'm having trouble getting everything lined up and looking good.
your on the same path i used just keep at it. It takes a cuple of trys to get it just right. You'll need some styrene or som type of piece of plastic to make it more centered.
Sucks to hear about your hand, hope ya feel better, and this is a fantansic idea can't wait to see how ya did it
