Yeah, their designs are ambiguous enough to fit in perfectly.

I'll agree with bludgeon, banzaitron, and lugnut, but not the others.

Breacher's the most G1 figure out of that bunch.

If you want them to, sure. Other than Bludgeon, none of them make the cut for me.

All personal preference. For me, Classics have to be very specific. Bludgeon fits, Banzaitron stands next to him with Darkmont, Thunderwing, and Skullgrin infront of them. Lockdown went in with my animated, and Breacher hasn't been picked up again since the day I bought him (impulse buy at $3.50). I will not be buying Axor or Lugnut because they don't fit anywhere for me, but that just may be the G1 in me talking. I also don't buy off-screen movie characters, so that's where I sit.

they only fit in with movie, the ONLY thing of them that fits in with classics is breacher' HEAD ONLY, to say otherwise is silly

    they fit in with movie

I don't know how you can look at Breacher and say he's not Classics. He looks odd on a movie shelf.

I agree, Breacher is not in with the movie aesthetic. They should have called him Roller.

Why are people so hung up on shoehorning toys into different sublines?

Hasbro have effectively discarded the distinction between sublines, for now at least, and maybe collectors should do the same.

If a toy looks like fun, just buy it and quit worrying about whether or not it fits
    a certain aesthetic.

What really matters is the distinction between movie aesthetic and everything else. Movie has produced some good stuff but also a ton of butt ugly bayformers - its more a case of keeping them out of displays than worrying too much about who else qualifies as classics.

They all look like more a middle ground to me. More busy than most Classics figures, less intricate that most movie bots. I've got Bludgeon and Breacher, both of whom would be on my Classics shelf if there were space. The others... probably not, but that's more an issue of character than figure design for me.

"Butt ugly" TFs can be found in most sublines.

I kinda agree with the abovementioned quote.

I look at these figures & I can't imagine 'em fitting into CHUG/whatever.

All of 'em has got something in their design that just doesn't read/shout out "Classics" to me.

    Maybe its just me.

    It's not.

People are so determined to revisit the past over and over again, that they see things that aren't there.

Personally it doesn't matter if they were released as ROTF, HFTD, Generations or RTS. They can go where ever YOU Want.

Its completely up to you, dude.

But, I sometimes think to myself that in the context of a multi-million year old race, theres got to be some variations on the G1 aesthetic somewhere along the line. Comparatively, humans have been around for a fraction of that, and look how many looks and styles we've sported! I wouldn't get too hung up on what goes where. Unless of course, you plan on displaying Animated with Alternators. That would just be so ludicrously proposterous, I'd probably choke on my crumpet if I heard of such a thing.
