This was my entry into the triple changer challenge. This was actually my back up piece. I started working on a springer and then switched gears after playing around with an mp starscream. Anway, big thanks goes to Wikkid for his WIP on this character in this scale and using MP SS as the base. I used a 1/72 scale mig-25 foxbat for the some of the plane parts. Mainly the nose/cockpit area and the fins. I had intended to use the horizontal fins and wings but had to regretfully remove those to make the transformation work. Instead I had to scratch build the wings that were a bit more toy accurate and less true life. The turret and some of the tank parts came from a 1/35 scale Mitsubishi Type 74 tank. I tried using the original wheels and treads but couldn't get them to work with the transformation. I tried and failed using 2 other forms of treads, finally settling on 2 sets of modified voyager treadshot treads. The head is alternator swindle. The Sword is a modified gundam sword. Not sure about where the gun came from. paints are Modelmaster, Tamilya, Duplicolor and boyd. Decals came from their respective model kits. The decepticon logos were purchased from Boggs6ft7.

    thanks for looking guys.

That is flawless WJ. Blitzwing is IMO the hardest character to make a custom of, but you nailed it. Well done as always

I totally voted for this one WJ...I had no idea it was yours though!!!

I really like to reconfiguration of the Jet mode to something other than an F-15. The tank mode is flawless as well, seemless intrigration and transformation as well.

Now how about a group pic with Wan-De-Real's Astro???

I wanna see WIPs of your Stringer...or an actual Springer in the future...please?

Your Blitzwing looks great. The only flaw that I find with it is that there is too much tank kibble in Jet mode. Tank mode looks great as more of the jet is hidden. Other than that, great job.

The bot mode is wonderful. I really like the tank mode as well. I think it has an easier time of hiding the jet parts than the other way around. That's my only gripe (if you even want to call it that). There's just too much tank kibble showing up, but engineering custom triple changers is no joke. I actually think it's a lot harder than re-shelling Alternators, styrene scratchbuilds, and piecing together combiners. I know people may disagree with me, but that's just how I feel. That being said, it's still a magnificent piece.

Best Blitzwing Ever. This is a piece that truly deserves the title of 'Masterpiece.' Well done.
