Has anyone posted pictures of this release yet? Has there been any more news about it recently, since Toy Fair?

Are SDCC exclusive reissues different from the original?

Packaging yes. They toy can have some changes to it. But I can't imagine Blaster would. Soundwave came with multiple tapes. Blaster is reported as coming with multiple tapes as well. I've heard rumblings that the pacakged version is floating around. I'm just wondering if there are any images yet. They will probably show up at BotCon.

What are the chances of them having left overs for sale online after the convention? Was last year's Soundwave an exception or is that pretty much normal with these exclusives?

^The normal, but some years they sell out really, really fast or crash the site. I was pretty surprised Soundwave lasted as long as it did. I wasn't into online transformer purchases (or transformers in general) prior to the 08 SDCC, but I hear some of the alternators sold out really quick and it was a pain to check out on the site.

I think every SDCC exclusive has ended up on the HTS web site for the most part. You just have to be there at the right time lol. Otherwise... you won't get anything.

Nemisis Prime Alternator was a disaster for HTS and it crashed the site and sold out superfast. Rodimus wasn't near as bad.

Thanks. I might get Blaster if I see him online. How much is he supposed to be going for?

    I heard $50.

I'm SO going to be getting this one way or another. My vintage one was gotten on the cheap at a garage sale and has a broken tape deck.

I am not all that into SDCC offerings, but this is one i need to get.
I am sick of looking through auctions of "broken door" Blaster figs.

he is supposed to come with 2 tapes- Eject and Ramhorn, IIRC- and that would be plenty fo me.

    He also comes with Steeljaw.

I'm wondering if Hasbro might be good to us and give us the double-deck Twincast version of the mold, so you can have two of those guys inside at a time.

Whichever version of the mould they go for, I'm going to try and pick one up (somehow!) - it's a great choice given he's never been reissued by Hasbro before, makes a change from seeing the same guys reissued over and over.

Count me in on getting one of these. When do these go for sale online and are they the same price as at the con?

Monday after the con, last years hit the website at between 3am-4am pst, the year before (I think) around 9am pst, and they are the same price as at the convention.

Any idea how hard it would be to snag one at the Con itself?

A co-worker of mine's going to San Diego in July and her kids are attending Comic Con. I asked if it was possible to pick up Blaster for me. However, I don't want it to be such a big hassle for her kids if they have to fight through a crowd.

I went to the SDCC in 2008. It was pretty unorganized and the lines were hella long. But everyone got what they wanted. Neiher of the Hasbro or Mattel stuff sold out. Wait, the all white customizable My Little Pony sold out with a quickness... Lol.
