there is always gonna be debate on the the whole blackout/grindor fiasco, i know the truth that there is no grindor, it is blackout, here is a clip from a statment from transformers wiki blackout and grindor pages clearing it up...

Dreamworks stated there isn't a character in the Revenge of the Fallen film named "Gridor"[sic] because it indeed is Blackout. They claimed that Grindor's Voyager toy wasn't going to be shown until the final Revenge of the Fallen trailer and Dreamworks felt it would ruin the surprise of Blackout's return if the toy was leaked with that name.

Therefore it is Hasbro's fault for jumping the gun with the name they were given

    :lol  :lol  :lol  Too funny.

But seriously, OP, you're going to want to elaborate upon your intent, otherwise this thread will be filled with spam, flaming, trolling and eventual locking by the end of the day.

Didn't Blackout get killed in the first movie? And I don't remember them resurecting anybody but Megatron in RotF ;P

I'm pretty sure he's just a clone ala Skywarp and Thundercracker to Starscream in G1 lol

You got this from the Wikia Transformers Wiki (i.e. the "shitty" one). Which cites TFormers.com as a source. Whose source is an anonymous poster at the Transformers Live Action Movie Boards.

So there is no reliable source confirming this.

(This would have been easier if you had linked your source in the first place. Or, y'know, checked THAT source's source. It's not rocket science.)

    True.

If only more time and money was put into the resurrection scene it would have explained Blackout a little better in ROTF.

While Ze Doctor took care of Megatron, the Constructicons could have brought back Blackout.
    Oh well...

Sorry, but you got this from the Other Tf wiki, which is not a riable wiki as thye post fake info and such

if this info came from tfwiki.net then it would be true as long there is a source, but there is nothing of this on tfwiki.net, so Grindor is still Grindor

Yeah that's bull. Transformers Wikia is garbage. Grindor was a seperate transformer, Blackout was dead.

Blackout? He dead. Whatchu want, I say you he dead.

Here's a nearly identical robot, differing slightly in color, who will be a completely separate character. I'm sure you'd be outraged if we hadn't been doing this since the very beginning of the franchise.

Gotta make those molds worth our while, man.

You're right. There is no character called "Gridor" in Revenge of the Fallen. However, there is a Grindor, who shares a body-type with Blackout.

Joking aside, it is Grindor, not Blackout. For a first example, Grindor has a different, albeit similar, vehicular mode. Blackout is a Pavelow MH53 I think it is, where as Grindor is a Stallion 34H or something like that. Blackout's vehicle mode was decommissioned in 2008 I think. Also, we never saw Blackout being ressurected, so there's no chance of it happening.

Besides, Blackout got shot in the balls. Who'd want to live like that?

I never for a minute thought that Grindor was Blackout.

But did anyone ever wonder why Starscream is sometimes blue and sometimes black in G1?
    That always bugged me.

Indeed, Blackout was resurrected. Hasbo should have waited, and introduced him as a Leader class toy.
Alot of stuff got goofed up in ROTF.

He is ESSENTIALLY Blackout. ILM Being lazy and recoloring Blackout's CGI and giving him a supposedly different (I honestly don't see it) headsculpt doesn't make the cut as a new character. For me at least.
