anyone have any info on the Blackarachnia Wal-Mart exclusive "Horrorcon Halloween"???
it was never released, but I wouldnt be surprised if Transfan2 had it anyways.
damn that sux i love Blackarachnia
TF2 has them, yup.
First I've heard of this...interesting...
Anyone have a pic?
Pics taken from various eBay auctions.
Huh, that's a new one to me. Thanks for the info Nevermore & Valkysas.
We saw the protos for those and for these dudes back in May 2004. The names "Leatherhide vs. Blackarachnia" and "Nightprowler vs. Waspinator", the description "Helloween Horrocon assortment" and the supposed Wal*Mart exclusivity all stem from a huge update to Hasbro's website checklist for all Transformers toys ever released in the USA, with the update (about two months ago) accidentally listing several unreleased toys with names and stores they would have been eclusive to. The checklist has mostly been fixed since and doesn't list those toys anymore.
what was nightprowlers mold? another mutant repaint?
cool...blackarachnia repiant would have been cool.
Original Beast Wars Cheetor
I'm still hoping Hasbro will dust off the Transmetal Waspinator mold for a run in Classics
Did you click the link?
Ah, so that's what they are! I remember the prototypes but must have missed the revelation about the names. Kinda explains the neon colours on BA and Waspy - must have been like the Underworld Unleashed DC comics, an extra neon colour to make them look "spookier"
i hate hasbro i want them!
Too bad they didn't get released. I like that Waspinator, it reminds me of Pretender Bugly.
"Snow Leopard" Cheetor is kind of interesting, but I can't say I feel much loss for missing these, especially when a couple of the molds got better representation in BW10th.
As I said, it was revealed as part of the revamp of Hasbro's Transformers website a few months ago. They updated the "Complete Transformers toys checklist" (which actually was just a "complete checklist of Transformers toys released in North America) among other things, but apparently they accidentally used information from an outdated list that listed stuff which never came out. Not many people noticed it because they were too busy with the other parts of the website update (or simply didn't care for names of unreleased toys), so when the list was (mostly) fixed a few days later, not many people had taken notice.
