i LOVE black repaints......of jazz....with flames  

 

I got Nemesis Prime on order courtesy of HTS.

You mean Nemesis Jazz? jk, I know who you're taking about, who's suprisingly not a repaint of Jazz in his most recent incarnation.

One of my JRX's legs is slightly longer than the other, so it falls over pretty easily. IIRC, I was told it was a widespread problem, but mine was worse than most of them. It isn't bad by any means, but it definitely isn't as great as I was expecting.

I've got a fair collection of the black repaints, I'm not going to list them all, but let's just say all the relatively easy to get black versions in the last 10 years or so. Characters like Black Lio Convoy, Black Big Convoy, Black Convoy (CR), Scourge (RiD), to Soundblaster (GF), etc. Though I do pass on toys I either don't like the first time around, or don't care for the character or whatever, nor do I go out of my way to get any.

I've got Nucleon Quest Superconvoy, but I don't have Black Fire Convoy (CR), or Dark Nitro Convoy (GF). I'll also be getting Shadow Blade Megatron (Ani) later this year, since I really love that color scheme and that mold. I'm also a big Skywarp fan, with WST Skywarp, RM Skywarp, Classics Skywarp, Armada Skywarp, and soon Tit Skywarp (I've ordered it!), though I passed on Cybertron Skywarp because I disliked both the color scheme and the mold, and on MP Skywarp due to lack of interest in the mold and the high price tag.

So, I'm far from a completist, but I'm not a non-owner either.

Sorry, no pics today, I'm reorganizing things as they are, and lots of those black figures are in storage bins for the moment.

 

I'm all for black repaints, just as long as it's not a craptastic mold.

BTW so Nemesis Prime wasn't limited to certain number per customer? I've just heard someone else got quite a few as well. Wonder why eHobby can't do the same when they sell event exclusives. *sigh*

And Cyb Skywarp was, eew. That purple was hideous with the white face.

As for the pics, I am hoping that one day, you'll show me one   You can show us that Energon weapon, I reckon that's black repaint, too, no?

Indeed, black paint can't save everything...again, Cyb Skywarp. Or Cyb Runamuck (is he gray? I don't have him myself.)

SQ7, nice! Even though he has red window chest (that's a minus for me) I'm always interested in that guy. I don't think I can get one under $100, though  

 

I had a friend who needed to pay a bill really fast, so I helped him out (and he hooked me up  ). I also swapped out his eyes with my Powermaster Prime   Had the labels been unapplied, I'd given him Decepticon symbols on his shoulders. He's bad enough to sport the Autobot symbols and still run em into the ground ^_^

 

The limit was 2, but there was no limit on the number of orders one could place.

He's quite heavy, isn't he? Another reson I hesitate to get him, because I'll have to import and heavyweights are always bad, I end up paying so much for shipping.
(Like when I bought reissue Battle Convoy for $30. I don't think it ended up as a good deal after the shipping cost...)

Hehe, yeah! I had mentioned I wanted one, and he wasn't too attached to it to begin with. It was the second black Prime repaint I'd owned at that point (Armada Nemesis Prime had not came out yet).

That's one thing I like about the G1 molds: they're a huge chunk of plastic most times, so it at least feels like you're getting a lot.

Not that I don't appreciate great engineering on toys *looks at Alts/BTs/MP and other toys*  

 

Black repaints are great but I would like to see a few Autobots repainted black without a faction change for once, at least by Hasbro since I don't import. There is just something about a Transformer in black that just looks cool. I have a few that Hasbro has put out in the past eight years or so.

There are a few other black repaints that haven't been listed that aren't Prime/Convoy. Two that I can think of are G2 Ramjet and Universe Razerclaw.

For now I am limiting it to the toys with the appropriate name (like U repaint of Nemesis Prime, he's not that black, but I believe his name qualifies) or the repaints whose main colour is black.

I'm actually surprised how many of them I own/have owned. Guess I must admit that I'm a black repaint addict  

 

The black Repaints i got is Alternators Nemesis Prime,Nemesisbreaker and Dark Crumplezone.

 

I thought Dark Crumplezone was purple not black. It has been awhile since I looked at mine but just to make sure I looked at a few pics, not the best in the world, and he looks purple to me.
